Do you think the Dallas Cowboys could beat Jacksonville Jaguars?

Yeah you butchered that spelling, but anyways. I think we can beat anyone in the league this year, we'll just have to wait and see how it unfolds. We have the talent to go all the way this year.

Yes but too bad we are playing the Jacksonville Jags :D

That's why I voted no, there is no team in Jaxsonville, wherever that is.

No Jimmy Smith.
Less worries.
Marcus Stroud and John Henderson at the DT spots. :bang2:

I am very worried. Their strength on defense is playing right into our weakness.

Jimmy Smith retired, Leftwich still overrated, Jax still a second tier team not an elite team...if we can't beat them we are in trouble. We should be able to beat them.

But they're secondary is average. Solid, but not outstanding. The run game may not get going because of the line. But if Drew can get the ball out quickly, I think the 'boys can have some success.

We are a better team than last year, and last year we went in and beat the Chargers in San Diego.

Personally, I think the Jaguars are one of the teams that will take a step back this season.

Fred Taylor is about through, and they have no real go-to RB to take his place.

Byron Leftwich is simply an average NFL QB, and that will probably be all he ever is. Borderline overweight most of the time, often injured, and slower of foot than even Bledsoe. His arm is good and relatively accurate, but overall, I don't think he will ever be anything much better than average. A QB who could win, but only with a strong running game.

The WR corps are definitely not as good as they were last season, without Smith, a leader on the field as well. Reggie Williams has not stepped up yet and there other starter is a former college QB who is still learning the position and has shown to be good on a couple of big plays a game.

Their defense is very good, but is slowly being depleted in free agency, at LB and DB.

I think the Jaguars take a step back this year, out of the playoffs, around 8-8 or so. Therefore, I think we win this game, even on the road.

By the way, so much for homefield advantage. They hardly ever sell out anymore which leads me to believe that a large percentage of the crowd will be Cowboys fans.

I think the Jags problem this year might be on offense. The had problems scoring last year and I'm not sure they improved a lot.

I think they can win against any team. But I know they can lose against any team also.

From what I've seen they are a popular early candidate amongst the media for the playoff team that will take the biggest step backward. They do have the strongest middle of the DL out of any team in the league, but one major advantage of the 2 TE set is the ability to spread the field, thus hopefully negating some of that interior strength.
Jimmy Smith may have not been quite the player he was in his prime, but he was still their best receiver and the leader of the offense. I'm sorry, but Matt Jones does not scare me as a primary receiving threat. I'll pick the Cowboys in a low scoring slugfest.

I need to see some of the TC reports and a couple of PS games before I say yes or no. I think we can beat any team. Will we? That I don't know for sure.
