Trick question again...what is the context?
40 mil contract?
Is it possible to get Lawrence?
If no on both above then definitely want Dak back.

No its not possible. Someone will either be unwilling to trade down or the cost will be astronomical.

This poll is one of several being created to show current fan opinions about Cowboys players returning for the 2021 season.

You can use whatever qualifiers you want in your posts, but the poll does not care about your qualifiers!
This best part is you can rattle off the names that said no before you even have to look lol.

Not needed, HELL NO is still no, whether he's not here because he's hated or not here because he just got more money elsewhere, e.g., the result is the same...
Nah, there’s a difference

Some are voting “no” with a few caveats.

There are some folks that dont want him back under any circumstance. I wouldnt want him back if he played for free

It all depends on how his leg heals and how much money he wants.
I would like to have him back at a reasonable rate.
I do not want him back if the salary is over $32M.
He is a good leader but he just doesn't have the 'it' factor to take the team to the top without a good surrounding cast on defense.
Can't have both Dak at $35M and a good defense.

Are you going to answer the question?

The right answer, and the only answer should be yes.
The only way to vote yes with a clear conscience is knowing that Dak would accept a huge pay cut from the numbers that he has been rumored to be asking for. Paying elite money to average players is one reason why this team is in the losing situation that it is now.

I would like him back at a reasonable price but I don't think a reasonable price is a possibility. I think if Dallas wants him, he is going to have a $38m franchise tag or a $40m per year contract. I think the team will just be locking itself into a series of 6-10 seasons with that plus the Zeke, Jaylon and Tank contracts.

As a result, I voted no. The team has to rebuild and the sooner the Cowboys start, the sooner we will see a competitive team.

I voted yes. But I am not 100% on that vote. There may be other circumstances to evaluate after the season is over.
But since it is only a yes or no vote.
I am more yes as of today, than I am no. And it will remain that way until the end of the season or beyond.
I said yes
That will change if Lawrence is available
Talented and a rookie contract

I voted yes, but it is not an unqualified yes. If the Cowboys didn't have the absurd contracts with Jaylon Smith, Demarcus Lawrence, Amari Cooper and Zeke Elliott, I would say 100% yes, sign him. But given their CAP situation, the best move for the future of the Cowboys may be to franchise him and then find a trade partner. I don't want to give up Dak, but they may have to considering how bad the defense is. They desperately need an infusion of talent there.

The problem is, if they let Dak go, what do they do for a QB? I am not one of those who thinks Garrett Gilbert is the answer, and DiNucci is at least 3 years away if he is ever good enough to win in the NFL. And taking one in the first round is still a risky proposition as so many teams have found out even in the last few years. Look at the 1st round QBs that have been relegated to backup roles, or their teams are moving on from them. Josh Rosen, Mitch Trubisky? Sam Darnold anyone?

It is a risk to trade Dak, but one they may have to take because signing him will leave nothing for the rest of the team - at least until 2022 when the Cowboys can get out from under some of the bad contracts they signed.
