1. Dak has made very little progress when it comes to accuracy, IMO he got worse this season. Trying to prove that very thing. Throwing into small windows and trying to thread the needle doesn’t make you accurate it just makes you careless. And IMO he was getting careless trying to show he could thread the needle at times it works other times it doesn’t. Wentz undeniably has better accuracy stronger arm and better deep ball then Dak. IMO he has had a bad season but that doesn’t change my opinion on what he has to offer talent wise.

2. It still does. His high completion percentages IMO comes from staying within the system, not changing play calls. And sticking ton1-2 maybe 3 reads a play.

3. He doesn’t even deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence at this moment in time with Rodgers Patrick Russell or any other top 5 QB maybe even Top 10.

I like Zach Wilson from BYU quick release and mobile enough to wiggle around the pocket. And he would and maybe could be had in the 2nd round.
Wilson is going in the 1st round along with 5 other QB's. Too many teams needing the trigger man and this is considered a good QB draft.

And they stand the chance of not getting a QB as good as they have. These people tried to trade up for Lynch and would have taken Cook if he was available. The fell into Prescott, after they fell into Romo because of having a coach on staff and both of these QB's were consolation prizes.

You want the same people picking a QB that tried to get Lynch and Cook?
No one fell into Dak. Dak fell into a good team with good pieces. Dak isn’t the difference. Similar results with Dalton except Dalton isn’t playing for another contract in the same light as Dak. Dalton is fine driving the bus for cheap. He’s from the area and he is serviceable.

What about his inability at times to sustain drives? Or his bad record against good teams.
Those are definitely issues but I think they have way more to do with the leadership and coaching than it does with Dak.

The defense is awful and even more so in critical moments.

It's the same reason why Tony Romo had the highest 4th quarter QBR (at the time) in league history yet was well known for soul-crushing 4th quarter interceptions. How can both of those things be true?

Because the defense was awful. Romo (and Dak) has had to bring this team back over and over again because the defense constantly gives up late, and often quick, scores.

The cow-girls are little above mediocre with him, and little worse without him.
So, I'm 50/50....maybe 60/40 that he comes back.

Maybe you’re right. Maybe it is coaching. I’m in the camp we could have the same results with a cheaper option at QB. Coaching or not, if coaching is the issue then we might as well try and work our way around it because M&Ms isn’t going anywhere.

Which team?? Idk I think he will slip..
Pick one, NYJ, JAX, IND, NE, DEN and I wouldn't rule out PIT doing a GB move they made last year. ATL, TB, CHI, NO and SF.

He's getting some love and there's at least one GM/HV eying him just like Reid was Mahomes and GB was Love.

The topper to this is the performance of the QB's taken in the last two drafts ion the 1st with Rosen and Trubisky really the only busts and Burrows, Herbert, Murray, Allen, Tua, Jackson and Mahomes lighting it up.

It’s highly unlikely any QB we draft will be as good as Dak.

It’s unfortunate that Jerry failed to sign Dak immediately after the 2018 season when his price would have been much more affordable.

...The money save will likely go to retreads and you have a young defense. That team is not going to a NFCC game either.
Assuming this team is close to being a SB contender. I have feeling this team is far from being one.
Defense is weak. Offensive line is old, and broken. Their star running back isn't what he used to be.

Very interesting topic.

Team is in re-build mode (old offensive line, high mileage on zeke, historically bad defense) but knowing Jerry he'll think in his head "If Dak comes back + we get la'el/Tyron back then we can still win the division".

I like Dak enough to where I would actually want him to leave this organization and go somewhere like Indy who has a better overall team and a ton of cap space in 2021.

I'm leaning more towards No. I want Dak to have success in a better run team + if he does come back where just going to waste the remainder of his prime since we won't be able to put a complete team around him

How many games have we played without him have you thought, “we could win this if Dak was playing”?

Enough said.

this team has many issues and an expensive band aid is not gonna help ,,,just rebuild
Agreed. I think it's a win/win situation. Dak leaves and he can go to a better run team like Indy where he has more cap space + a better overall roster. Cowboys can start over which is what they need (aging offensive line and historically bad defense)

YES. I want Dak back, but at some point, price does become an issue. This is on Dak as much as anything. we tried extending him for two years.

I'm not understanding the confusion ? I voted no because if Daks peak is now + he's a free agent then he can simply go play for a better run franchise and the cowboys (aging o-line + historically bad defense) should probably start planning for a long term plan instead of getting an expensive band-aid.

Nothing I said was confusing ?

Yes sir. He’s the best option we have, and he’s A+ in every single intangible imaginable.

Do I hope the injury levels out some of his contract demands? Absolutely. But I want Dak as our QB. A lot of lesser-talented QBs have gotten to the promised land. I think Dak has what it takes.
....Dak can get us to the big game. We just need good players around him. ;)
