Simply put, No. They don’t deserve to be in the playoffs. It’ll only hurt our draft selection because we’re not doing anything but embarrassing ourselves.

I want them to win the Super Bowl, but what I want doesn't dictate anything. Accordingly, I'll just watch the games and hope I'm happy when at the end.

NO, I think they'll be lucky to win one of the last three games and I don't want any excuse for Jerry to keep Garrett, I am through with him as the headcoach with the same mistakes game after game for ten years now,,,,,and if you think that getting into the playoffs give them a shot then you haven't been paying attention to this teams play on the field, you don't just flick a switch and every thing is better, they're a seriously flawed team......

..as an emotionally bias driven Cowboys fan - Yes

..as a rational Cowboys who believes more in long term investment vs a quick blowout loss outta there - I say No, tank it for sake of better draft position (6-10 and selecting middle of 1st round)

.. forced into a flat Yes or No reply, .. i'd say NO, best think long term result with a fresh start and new HC.

To Garrett and Marinelli ..... BYE FELICIA !!

But Parcells changed culture, brought in talent, etc. At that time we were bottom feeders with crap at QB, low talent, etc. He got us going up again. Problem is a lot of the talent was wasted after the fact.

Has been Drew Bledsoe is that big change at QB. Yes the Cowboys signed Romo but he didn't get his chance until Parcells last season. Gee maybe you were talking about another has been RB Richie Anderson that Parcells brought to the Cowboys. Again all this talent you claim he brought in and this culture change didn't produce even a single division title or playoff win in his 4 years as head coach.

Whether we are 16-0 or 7-9, I want the Cowboys in the playoffs. Even if they back in, I would hate for them to not be able to at least be the best of the worst division and having to watch Philly in the playoffs instead. Their potential failure on that day won’t give me any satisfaction of having been worse than them after 16 games and I have no confidence Dallas would use the draft pick wisely anyway, so a better draft pick consolation prize isn’t worth it.
It is not A better draft pick! It is a better draft pick EVERY round!

You are right...Witten, Terrence Newman, Bradie James, Julius Jones, Marion Barber, Patrick Crayton, Demarcus Ware, Marcus Spears, Jay Ratliff, Jason Hatcher...Romo. All under him and all contributed heavily in years to come. We were 5-11 with Campo and Chad Hutchinson and Quincy Carter At QB. Anyone with an ounce of football knowledge knows he restocked for us. You’re just being a clown

Yes, of course I do. I am a Cowboys fan and will never wish for the worst.

That said, Garrett must go and Jerry must take a huge step back from day-to-day operations regardless how the season turns out.

You people that want to Cowboys to lose for drat pick order. Tell me the last time any team hit on 100% of their picks regardless what number they picked at. You all make it sound like moving 3 or maybe 4 spots up will guarantee things will turn around with those picks. The list is miles long of players picked at every number including #1 that turned out to be busts but that never enters your minds when wanting the Cowboys to lose. If you want the Cowboys to lose ANY game you should surrender you Cowboys gear and go find another team to claim to be a fan of.

Bradie James never made it to a single Pro Bowl, Julius Jones left the season after Parcells left and what did he do, Marion Barber went to 1 Pro Bowl the year after Parcells left and his rushing totals continue to drop the last 3 years with the Cowboys, Patrick Crayton was a 2nd team All Pro his last season with the Cowboys but also twice was within 2 of leading the league in drops twice. Demarcus Lawrence was drafted EIGHT years after Parcells left, now DeMarcus Ware was a certified star but that 1, Marcus Spears no Pro Bowls and not many sacks, Jay Ratliff was another star so now your up to 2, Jason Hatcher drafted in Parcells last year and made it to 1 Pro Bowl his last year in Dallas and Romo of course but Sean Payton has always been given the credit for getting Romo to Dallas.

Now those players were an upgrade from what was here but most of them weren't the stars you tried to paint them as. Good yes, stars not so much.

One last thing, Carter did what Parcells couldn't do and got the Cowboys to the playoffs. I agree he wasn't a franchise QB and his off the field problems were his undoing, but for 1 year he did pretty good.

it was edited to Ware long ago...20 min. Guess it took that long to get your misinformed thoughts down. One thing I won’t do on this forum and it’s debate someone with a misinformed agenda or coming from a place of no knowledge whatsoever. Dense. That group consisted of a core that lasted into Wade making the playoffs. It was a massive upgrade. But you keep spouting your nonsense. It basically was a rebrand after Campo. Move along with some other gibberish

How can anyone vote "no", knowing that draft picks are not sure things and that it would be the Eagles that would take their place. I just can't find it in my bones to root for the Eagles to win the division. No way, no how, never.
Who says you have to root for the eagles? Root for Dallas to do what they've been doing and the earliest departure for Garrett.

To answer the OP it's neither a yes or no. My answer isn't even complicated it's just that indifference has set in. The opportunity for Garrett to reach his ceiling again just does nothing for me.

Not in me to root for failure, and I would hope it's not in any players.

If you have a football team willing to cave in this early, you have a lot more problems than just a coach replacement.

But yes, I'll be the first to admit that it's going to feel like a hollow victory. I would compare a Playoff entrance this year to those one and done Chan Gailey seasons. When I think the team was wondering themselves how the hell they made it to the Playoffs.

Cowboys are awful but once it’s game time I’m rooting for a win.
