Nobody has a "similar" name as me so you are full of it there.

Only thing I have ever said about Lance is that if he starts this year we will be able to draft a QB with the number one pick in the draft.
Yup

Dak has all the leverage and the Cowboys have none. There isn’t going to be any standoff. Either the Cowboys will pay Dak or someone else will. If the Cowboys aren’t able to agree to terms with him by March 13, he’s a free agent and will very likely sign with another team. That will leave the Cowboys searching for another starting QB.
Dak ONLY HAS LEVERAGE IF THE COWBOYS TRULY WANT HIM. You KEEP REPEATING something YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND.

A wife has leverage with her husband...IF HE WANTS HER. If he doesn't want her...she can threaten to leave, take the kids, the house...etc. So he will lose something...but if he doesn't WANT her...she has a lot less leverage. Dak's only leverage is that he is a division-winning QB every other year or so. Is that what Jerry wants? If not, Dak has NO LEVERAGE AT ALL.

True, except that Jerry will then give up a 2nd round pick for Tyrod Taylor or Gardner Minshew so we can win 8 games.

I find it funny that you need to compare Lance's preseason to Dak's playoff struggles. It's not REALLY THAT HARD to understand why you might give a pass to POTENTIAL while also judging RESULTS. Dak has had the support of the team...playing with starters...the lion's share of the coaching, etc...this all means he gets judged on his results. Lance is getting what's left over...thus he's going to be judged differently.

One is the unquestioned team leader and the other is a 3rd stringer...to not know the difference is to not know difference.
One is a 4 year pro who stinks. One is a 8 year pro who stinks in the playoffs. There’s your difference.

Exactly so why are you so pro Lance?
I'm not pro Lance. I'm pro anyone who can take the job away from Dak and end this experiment with a duck-walking, 4th round project who doesn't trust his arm in big moments.

I don't care if Lance goes 1-16...it will have been a W because we stopped throwing big money at a loser.

So you admit that Dak in the playoffs looked like Lance in the preseason "Get your money Dak!!!" ...but you're "objective"?
I said he stinks in the playoffs. I can’t compare him to Lance because I’ve never seen Dak suck that bad in the preseason.

Ok so it’s personal for you. I don’t play on emotion. I don’t know what to tell you. Dak has one year left on his deal all I can do is advise you to suck it up for another year or move on. What do you want me to say?

If you say you’d play Lance because he’s cheap then you can’t care about the product on the field lol.
IKR?

If you think Dak can't win in the NFL, I won't argue with you because I have no doubt you truly believe it. And:

But if you turn around and then tell me you want Trey Lance as the starter because you believe he can win, my mind will immediately go to:

At this point, what difference does it make if Prescott gets a long term contact or not. Jerry played his hand and bet on him the last contact. He did not deliver. Jerry doesn't have the luxury of starting over, so he's stuck in a lose, lose situation. Pay Prescott and hope he does better than 12-5 and 1 and done, or start over with a new QB and hope he lives to see another Superbowl. Either way, Jerry isn't getting any younger, and he knows that.

Gee Whiz. The hand wringing over a 4th round pick is pathetic. If Lance doesn’t work out, it isn’t a huge loss.
I was fine with it and still am. But if you tell me would I rather have Justin Fields for a 6th? I would. Also since we had a fourth could we have used two fourths to trade up? Get a running back? There were options but I don’t think Dallas does them. They seem to hold on to their picks unless it’s trading down.

What are you talking about?

Methinks you didn't read what I was replying to, or you quoted the wrong thread. My response was specifically for Jerry coveting Paxton Lynch and Johnny Manziel. Who are a midget and a small school project.

How did you go from there to Lance? Weird.

Fields sucks. Who'd I rather have? Doesn't matter, flip a coin. Unless ur referring specifically to the draft pick given up, then I agree w/ you.

You’re the one that doesn’t understand. You’re making absolutely no sense. Dak has leverage whether the Cowboys want him or not because other teams will want him and will be more than willing to make him the highest paid QB in NFL history. The Cowboys know there’s other teams that will be able to pay him more than they will, so the only way Dak remains a Cowboy past this season is if he wants to be here and is willing to take less than what he could get in free agency. The only gamble he’s taking is if he suffers a serious injury or has a miserable season. There’s some who think Dak could get as much as $70 million in free agency. The Cowboys couldn’t come close to paying him that. We’ve seen the crazy free agent contracts that have been signed. They’ll pale in comparison to what a QB who’s at the top of their game could earn on the open market. To say Dak has no leverage in bold print is absolutely laughable.

Doubt if any team has the cap room for 70.
