The reason the deal is not done is because the front office will not meet Dak’s terms. Whatever terms (guaranteed money, years, clauses) Dak is willing to sign for-the front office is not offering. Deals work both ways. If the deal does not happen (and both sides were honestly working on a deal), it just means both sides could not agree to mutually agreeable terms.

I’ve seen some people suggest that Dak just won’t sign any deal with Dallas cause he feels disrespected or that he feels he has a better chance winning with a new team. I have to admit laughing a lot at those childish suggestions.
You’re just posting what most already know, they can’t agree to terms. Offers have been made and Dak isn’t accepting.

Reading different sites over last two suggest, the hang up from either side is length of contract. We shall see.

It's not one game ...... All 3 49'r games ..... Every playoff game where he is facing a winning team.

Now ....... Spin away
He listed one game. That’s what I replied to. He struggles on the playoffs. What spin would you like?
I do find it funny the same people who bring up Dak struggling in the playoffs are the ones spinning Lance sucking in the preseason. Mind boggling.

Not me. Dak and Lance both suckling are not mutually exclusive

I'm a wait for what's behind door 4 because Rush is behind door 3
I can respect that stance. I’m questioning those impressed by Lance. That’s something else. Have blind hope that’s fine. But it’s hope.

Agree. It's hope based on no evidence.

Yes, we saw his athleticism and some nice throws but Shanahan has seen that same exact thing.....he's also seen the negative plays and really no tangible growth or improvement.

Yep. He looks exactly the same and they gave up on him. His lack of progression needs to be studied. I don’t think it’s something as simple as he just hasn’t played enough football.

If ever a player needed to go to the CFL or other league and get that experience it would be Lance because he does have the Physical skills. Warren Moon and Doug Flutie come to mind. Even Kurt Warner played arena football before the NFL

In 2025 Lance may very well wind up in one of those leagues and his final story may wind up different

Nobody has a "similar" name as me so you are full of it there.

Only thing I have ever said about Lance is that if he starts this year we will be able to draft a QB with the number one pick in the draft.
someone I went back and forth about how Lance just needs more years to play and just because Shanahan wrote him off doesn’t mean anything. If thats not you then I made a mistake. I tried to search but couldn’t find it so it may not be you.

You said Jerry has made it clear he doesn’t think Dak is worth the investment. He never made that clear. Not wasting any more time with this.
News flash, neither will I. I cannot debate things with stubborn ones on here such as you

My point is that neither side has more leverage than another if no deal comes out of negotiation. Neither side agreeing to terms just means a standoff.

You can bet everything you own on the fact that both parties knew back in January what numbers/terms/clauses would result in an agreement. Same with Ceedee. This keeps it a story for longer, and publicity is king for Jerry marketing. It does not take long to figure out terms that would result in an agreement. The process can remain fluid if neither side draws a line or cuts off communication-hoping the other side caves and gets the deal done with some concessions.

Dak has all the leverage and the Cowboys have none. There isn’t going to be any standoff. Either the Cowboys will pay Dak or someone else will. If the Cowboys aren’t able to agree to terms with him by March 13, he’s a free agent and will very likely sign with another team. That will leave the Cowboys searching for another starting QB.

I find it funny that you need to compare Lance's preseason to Dak's playoff struggles. It's not REALLY THAT HARD to understand why you might give a pass to POTENTIAL while also judging RESULTS. Dak has had the support of the team...playing with starters...the lion's share of the coaching, etc...this all means he gets judged on his results. Lance is getting what's left over...thus he's going to be judged differently.

One is the unquestioned team leader and the other is a 3rd stringer...to not know the difference is to not know difference.
