No ....... If Lance starts we will get the number one pick in the draft ....... If Dak starts we get knocked out the first round of the playoffs.
And what will that change moving forward... you gonna take the Jones family out before the rebuild starts?

Not only that, you will still have a decent enough team to win 6 or 7 games. It's not like "tanking" with Lance will guarantee you a number one pick. Just guarantees you are going be miserable to watch. Likely for years to come. No front office - even Dallas - would be idiotic enough to use this strategy. Folks think winning 12 games a season and losing in the playoffs is bad. Wait till you are losing 11 or 12 games per year and not sniffing the playoffs. That's what you folks that want Dallas to let Dak walk are begging for.

I'm sure Jerry will cave and sign him and I'm also sure we won't have a chance in hell of winning a SB with preschoke as QB,that green bay game destroyed any glimmer of hope most of us had in him.

You should go rewatch the game and pay attention to how bad the defense got destroyed.... only an absolute fool would put that loss all on Prescott. What a lot of you folks want is a QB so good he can make up for all the other deficiencies there are in the organization. Owners, coaching, personnel. Guess what - there have only been a couple of those type quarterbacks ever and Dallas won't be getting one just because you let Prescott walk.

Typical response...dak has had 9 friggin years to prove he can win A big game and failed epically, and don't give me that crap he didn't have a good team around him,the guy has had better than average teams around him most of his career, yeah the defense was bad against the packers, but it didn't help dak throwing 2 pick 6,but I see you forgot the games against the 9er where he stunk up the joint...this team will never win anything with him a QBs.

The Niners have grown tired of kicking his ... up and down the field.
Dizzy Dak they call him.............what was it last time 42-10 something along those lines???
Our defense has learned once they see the Deer in the Headlights look they give up and stop trying as they know it's pointless....

Sure looks like that's what they're doing.

And no FO would be idiotic enough? Huh? They've sure gone out of their way to prove they can be idiotic to an extreme degree, what makes you think this isn't possible?

I don’t think we should.

In the beginning I rooted for Dak, and wanted him to stay so bad. Now I see him for what he is. He’s not going to get any better at 31. We need to let it go. Or we will be screwed for the next few years.

Cowboys remind me of the 2013-2016 Chiefs. A team with a good chance to make the postseason. But everyone knew they were limited by the QB. And weren't going to win a SB. They were just stuck in the middle.

Chiefs eventually said enough is enough and gave up 1st rounders to draft their stud QB.

Cowboys don't have an elite HC like KC did. But still...they took a huge chance and it paid off. Mahomes was very much a boom or bust prospect. He was either going to be great or flame out. No in between per scouting reports.

I realize that the next QB could be worse than Dak. But he could also be better and elevate the team to SB caliber. This team needs to stop being scared of the unknown and take a risk.

Take a look at the last ten SB winners:

Brady/Mahomes are both elite and have 7 SB titles. Stafford is very good. Foles played like a HOFer for two games. Manning wasn't good at the time. But his defense was outstanding.

So...it's highly unlikely you are winning a SB without elite QB play.
