Does a interception hurt you if you throw it in the 1st half of games?

They team has been able to overcome some of its mistakes against bad teams but they are not going to be able to give away interceptions on the road against better competition and expect to win.
I mean.....they gave Philly a pick 6 and won....but I do agree with you though. Ultimately, I honestly don't think one interception will kill if its in the 1st half. There's some factors into that though such as when it happens and what it does when it comes to momentum for the other team as well as did the defense give up any points off that turnover? I'm coming to grips that this is just going to be us this year. One interception a game and gotta overcome it. I think you can get away with that against the Buccs or Carolina or Saints.....San Fran I just don't see it though. But that's just because I don't think our defense can get off the field.

Defense scares me.

That will be the downfall if stuff goes bad.

An Int, fumble, misread, by any player on this team, Dak and all. Mistakes happen is just a mistake. Like anything could happen, the team could go a whole game without any mistakes and still lose...just the way the ball bounces. If anything I blame that odd shaped football.

Genuine question. I know the simple answer is yes. Or it typically would be. But what's interesting about Dak's interceptions is that he's throwing them in the 1st half of games and he's ending games throwing at a 70% completion rate with 2 or 3 touchdowns. All in the midst of the defense getting a few turnovers a game.
Can this team afford for Dak to throw a interception if its going to put up 27 to 30+ in the playoffs?

Nahhhh.

He can throw 2 or 3 picks in the 1st half (and some pick 6 sprinkled in), and it shouldn't hurt us.

Interceptions are bad 100% of the time.
No exceptions.
What about a long bomb that is intercepted on 4th down?

Yeah it's still "bad" since it isn't ideal, but it's obviously better for the defense to just bat the ball down in that situation.

I would generally say yes, but our D has given up 40 and 34 the two games before Tennessee. If our D goes back to giving up 17-19 points we will be golden, but will they!

Desperate theories for desperate Dak homers.
Have Dakko start with a couple of Picks in the playoffs and let's see how we do by the game's end.:muttley:

That’s the damn problem the D has fell off and I guess either we’ve been exposed or Anthony Brown and Jourdan Lewis meant more to this defense than I thought. Maybe both is somewhat true.

Tell us you don’t know a thing about football without saying you don’t know a thing about football.
