Does anybody else feel the same way about this season and Dak?

I feel like this season is Dak’s last chance to prove he can be a Superbowl winning QB. Time is running out for Prescott. I won’t hate on guy right now despite feeling his play isn’t good enough to represent Cowboy nation but if we don’t win the superbowl I’ll be angry and won’t watch another game until he’s gone!!!

For some reason I actually feel optimistic about Dak this year. An elite defense and a different approach to moving the football might be what the doctor ordered to avoid the annual choke.

It's obvious I'm not a big Dak fan, so I look at it another way. Stop expecting Dak to take this team to a SB. It's not going to happen. You can expect that from certain QBs to a point, but Dak isn't one of them. Neither is Jimmy Garoppolo or Jared Goff, but both of them got to a SB regardless. I'd even add Matt Stafford to that list. We have to hope they build a team good enough to go to the SB. This isn't 1992, Dallas isn't going into Philly or San Fran and winning a playoff game. I just don't see it. We need the better team.

With the Cowboys talking contract extension with Dak, this is a pretty critical season for him. If the team continues to win games with him and he continues to lead us to the playoffs, even if we come up short, the Joneses won’t be looking to replace him anytime soon.

Yup mentioned this before. All my faith is pretty much gone in Dak if we don't sniff the superbowl let alone conference game baring any major set backs injury wise. Always thought he was the product of the talent around him(still do) however was good enough to drive the bus straight.

He's going into the season with argurably the best team we've had in a very long time even dating back to pre Romo years bar maybe one. Top 3-5 elite defense, top 10 offense(imo 5-7 if healthy). Absolutely no excuse now

If he doesn't perform which would be insanly hard to do with the laten around him I would start shopping or drafting his replacement. And no not talking stat wise

I keep reading that Dak lost the two playoff games. He didn't.

There have been 25 times in the playoffs since 2000 where a QB threw 2 INT's and their team still won. There has been 9 playoff games since 2000 where a quarterback threw 3 or more INT's....and his team still won.

Both Roethlisberger and Brady each threw 2 INT's in four playoff games.....and their teams won.

In the 2021 NFC championship game Brady threw 3 INT's in three consecutive drives in the 2nd half, two were in the 4th quarter. His team still won. In 2014 Russel Wilson threw 4 INT's and completed less than half of his passes against the Packers. He was sacked 5 times. The Seahawks still won. Peyton Manning threw 3 INT's in a playoff game against the Chiefs in 2007....His Colts still won.

Dak didn't lose the game because he threw 2 INT's in the 1st half. In fact, the game was tied halfway through the 3rd quarter.

The Cowboys lost because Dak threw 2 INT's....and Pollard got hurt in the 3rd quarter....and the defense couldn't stop the run when they had to......and the Cowboys defense were constantly penalized in critical situations.....and only one WR was getting enough separation.

One season does not make a career. Dak has an historically low INT rate. He is in the top ranks of almost every category.

Barring a devastating injury, Dak has 4-5 years left to play, maybe more. I think he has an excellent chance of being part of a Dallas Cowboys championship team.

This season can go North or South real quickly. The huge difference this season is that Dak is in Dak's head already, where last year he started out fresh minded. The mental part of sport is weighing heavily upon him, whether or not he or the team want to discuss it publically. This is what scares me most going into the season, it's a huge unknown

Dak is this forum’s crutch. Many seem to think that success revolves around him. I don’t think he’s the story here. He won’t carry the team. He will be good enough if: the O and D lines are great. If those units perform very well, and the Boys are blessed on the injury front, then they can bring it home.

There’s no mystery about Dak. None. He will go as the o line goes, and will need the D to give the offense possessions and a low scoreboard.

Dak has 5 to 7 years left in Dallas.
