I was kind of thinking the opposite watching the Seattle/Steelers game. I was thinking how good both of those teams defensive units used to be...and how bad they looked in the game overall.
What we had in the game was.....
- Big Ben throw for the most yards EVER vs. a Seattle defense
- Russell Wilson throw 5 TD's for the 1st time in his career...and HC Mike Tomlin being a defensive guy
- A combined 69 points scored...the Cowboys yielded 13 points to Seattle (but only scored 12 themselves)
Couldn't believe how bad some of the tackling was...course we've seen that with the Boys as well.
Unfortunately for the Cowboys...even when the offense with Cassel & Weeden might have done enough to win, the defense has let the game slip, and has been particularly bad in a few games in the 4th quarter & 2 OT games. One exception being the Miami game...where they allowed zero 4th quarter points & had 3 sacks in the 4th. On the flip side, the offense failed to score a TD in 3 out of 5 games at one point. They haven't been able to put the two together. Turnover margin has been another huge negative factor this season.
I think everyone wants more creativity on offense. The one thing that perhaps annoys me the most, is when they do something that works...and then we don't see it again. They've needed to adjust...cause this certainly isn't 2014, where a healthy Dez had 16 TD's...Romo missed 1 game & played at an MVP level...and Murray was the OPOY.
