Does anyone see a problem with Thursday Night Football?

Every week it has been a blowout (the home team has won 4 out of 5 weeks)

Week 1: Seattle 36, Green Bay 16
Week 2: Ravens 26, Steelers 6
Week 3: Falcons 56, Tampa Bay 14
Week 4: Giants 45, Commanders14
Week 5: Packers 42, Vikings 10 (in 4th quarter)

Average score: 41-12

I don't think this is the product the NFL wanted to showcase (or maybe it doesn't matter if we are tuning in anyway)

I hate that there is a game every Thursday night. Didn't like it last year and don't like it now. I thought it was much better when it was just 5 or 6 Thursday games near the end of the year.

I get that they put divisional games together for these games this year. Sounded good but it is not working out well.

Right now the quality of the games stink and I feel like an every week Thursday game is too much. I'd almost rather see 18 games for each team instead of an every Thursday night game.

The idea of making sure each team gets a Thursday night game is flawed. Some teams just shouldn't be on primetime. Instead the emphasis should be on putting a schedule together that ensures all games are as competitive as possible. Scheduling division games should help accomplish that one would think. Maybe they should have Friday night football instead to give road teams an extra day to rest/prepare.

Love it as a football fan!

But the past weeks SNF, (although I loved that blowout), MNF blowout, and now TNF blowout can lose interest real fast.

Still love it though.

i've noticed too - not having a horse in the race, Thurs night football has been pretty boring on my front. However though, taking the gints to the woodshed on 11/23 would be a perfect Thurs night.

It's been a terrible product for years, no matter whether on NFL Network or now CBS. Like others have said, trying to squeeze all teams into the TV lineup really results in some lemons. But then, some of the other match ups that looked good on paper this year have stunk too.

Of course, I've watched just about every Thursday Night game. So, there's that.

Interestingly enough, they did make it to where the home team has to be on the road before the Thursday game... but apparently it's not helping.

Based on what I've heard former players say, physically the players are ready to play games on a Thursday. Problem is the mental preparation aspect is lacking with such a short turnaround.

Some issue with high school football.

I suspect it will get better as the season rolls along. They couldn't all be terrible games. Could they?

Meh, I could take it or leave it, but sometimes it's nice to have an extra game to watch if the outcome affects the Boys.
