If T-Will had caught the ball and--giving him a few bonus extra yards--had picked up 2-3 yards before getting out of bounds at the 45-46 yard line, would Dan Bailey have made a 63 yarder?

I realize the odds are extremely slim. His career long is 56 and that was on Sunday.
Kickers will tell you that nailing two absolute perfect kicks, distance and accuracy, in the same game is rare.
But we know Bailey and it'd been nice to see him get the chance. I'd never rule it out.

What do you think.
Just curious

Cromartie, who we failed to block the entire game for whatever reason, blocks the kick.

I don't think Dan has the leg to get it there

Bailey is great. The best that has been in a Cowboy uniform at his position.

But, 63 yards is a tough enough kick. The tendency to overkick it is great because of the distance. It's even moreso when it's for the win at the end of a game. I think he misses it.

Yes, unless there had been a bad snap-and-hold or someone blocked it. The only other alternative would have been him kicking it and the ball bouncing off the crossbar.

If I had to choose.

I choose Bailey.

It's 50-50 chance.

I trust him more than half of the players on the team.
Half??? That's conservative. Me? I trust Bailey more than 95% of his teammates. No joke.

Scratch that.

On certain gamedays, I trust Bailey more than 95% of the rest of the team--including some of his non-special teams coaches.

I think The 46 yd line was best case scenario, good chance it was 47 or 48. While he hit that 56 yarder well, I don't think it cleared it 21 to 26 feet or so needed for a 63+ plus yarder. I don't it gets there....if it's not blocked
