does he have the frame to get bigger and stronger or is he nearly physically maxed out?

the team wanted to start him, but we all know he is weak and needs a year in the weight room.
my only concern is if the year in the weight room going to do it.

I think he's only going to get better as the season goes along.
Im not pulling the plug for a guy we just signed off the street.
So he’s only going to give up 2 sacks per game instead of 3....

What for a guy who should have been a 1st round pick and has a Guards body named Lael Collins?

he is listed as 6'5" 311lb ...
He is..
But I see young man who actually shaves his legs and arms. A young guy who has people taking pics of him at the beach.. I have to wonder if he really wants to become one of the big uglies that you need to become to play OG at this level.

He absolutely can add mass and strength.

The bigger question is whether weight room strength would translate over to functional football strength. At the combine, he benched 225 for 26 reps. As a comparison, Travis Frederick benched 225 for 21 reps. La'el Collins did 21 reps. Zack Martin did 29 reps. None of the other players referenced above have shown to be strength deficient in the trenches. Williams needs to develop anchor strength. Can he? That's the $64,000 question.

Collins aint movin back to OG.....he's our OT.
Williams wont learn anything from the bench.
Of course he will struggle.....he did on sunday....but also had possessions where he played well.
Im not benching Williams for a journeyman off the street.
Smith-Williams-Looney-Martin-Collins.
until Frederick is back THAT is our OL.
They have known that since the off-season...except for Frederick being out.
Sundays loss to carolina aint on the OLine.

Remember when the Seahawks wanted him and offered Earl straight up? Did the Cowboysbmake the right decision? Do you think we’d have pages of threads complaining about Earl’s play?

No, I don't. Did Seattle go on the record as saying that, or is that a media concoction?

I'd say at least half of it is, they did a poor job protecting Prescott (granted he held the ball too long at times) and did a poor job opening holes for Elliott.

So let me get this straight. You are judging a guy based on him shaving his arms and legs and pictures taken and how that effects his ability to play football? Makes sense

but at some point....#4 has to take responsibility....there is no such thing as a perfect pocket on EVERY play.
