Thanks Coach Garrett. It’s nice having you on the board.
so you would move Collins to Guard and replace him with??????
CAM FLEMING??????
Chaz Green 2.0.
yeah....that helps Dak.

go chase a rabbitt....I hate arguing with a dog.

but at some point....#4 has to take responsibility....there is no such thing as a perfect pocket on EVERY play.

Oh I agree. I like the kid but at this point I think he's a decent back-up at best. Time to bring in some competition ASAP.

So let me get this straight. You are judging a guy based on him shaving his arms and legs and pictures taken and how that effects his ability to play football? Makes sense
Nope. No judging.
More about questioning a guy who is playing a position he is too lean for. And since the thread is about his frame and if he can transform it to a Guard from I clearly made the observation that he may not have the desire to get big and ugly.

How many times do you think Larry Allen shaved his arms and legs?

His ability to play football has shown itself and that’s why we are even speaking about him.

Nice try though.

Cam Fleming has proven to be a better tackle than Connor Williams is at playing guard.
How many games has Fleming given up 3 sacks?

he is listed as 6'5" 311lb ...
Combine he was 296. That is a tackle fit for Tom Landry's teams.

He did 26 reps of 225lbs so he is strong for a tackle. But the top 2 OG in the draft were 35 reps and over. So yes he is not strong enough to stop bull rush. But he is athletic enough to slide to OT if the Cowboys get a OG like they had in Jonathan Cooper. Moving Collins would put a messed up line into complete chaos having one OL in the same position (Smith) from last year.

he...Fleming... got pushed around in the pre-season by 2nd stringers.
Cam Fleming is not a better OT than La'el Collins.
Im rollin with Collins at OT....keep Williams at OG and Fleming on the bench.
I dont hate Dak enuff to get him killed by Chaz Green 2.0.

Remember when the Seahawks wanted him and offered Earl straight up? Did the Cowboysbmake the right decision? Do you think we’d have pages of threads complaining about Earl’s play?

There are pages of threads about Williams? Hmm, I must be looking at the wrong book.

Connor Williams has been pushed around by everyone.
Cam Fleming protected Brady in the Super Bowl.
Connor Williams hasn’t shown the ability to play Guard in the preseason or regular season. We have tons of threads where this was debated during Preseason. It hasn’t gotten better.

Collins aint movin back to OG.....he's our OT.
Williams wont learn anything from the bench.
Of course he will struggle.....he did on sunday....but also had possessions where he played well.
Im not benching Williams for a journeyman off the street.
Smith-Williams-Looney-Martin-Collins.
until Frederick is back THAT is our OL.
They have known that since the off-season...except for Frederick being out.
Sundays loss to carolina aint on the OLine.

Sunday's loss to Carolina isn't on the O-line? Are you joking me? Dak was sacked 6 times, he was pressured on almost every play, he was knocked on his *** over and over again.
We've seen how Prescott can perform when he's got a solid o-line in front of him. The same thing has been consistent throughout the last 9 games we've had an inept offense....our vaunted O-line has played like absolute garbage.

I liked the Fleming signing at the time....but the guy I saw in NE and the guy I saw in the pre-season dont look the same....maybe #12 has something to do with that.
I saw enuff that I dont want Fleming on the field.
Williams is our best option at OG.
Im not moving Collins for Fleming.
No way.
No how.
No chance.

This may be one of the dumbest posts I have ever read on here, thats saying a lot.

Being strong has nothing to do with being ugly or shaving legs. lol he doesnt need to get fat, he needs to get stronger.

Bur you continue making football judgements base on leg shaving...that's...special.

Although admittedly I don't get to know and see all the coaches do, my impression was that Williams should have been plugged in at RT and Collins should have moved back to LG.

70% of those on these boards thought Collins was at his naturally best position. Didn't look so to me on Sunday. Not his best game (again). He's a very wide body with less than long arms ... natural guard build. Williams on the other hand looks more like a tackle.

I'm sure the coaching staff knows what they are doing though

Yeah, the 1st qb who threw a td pass on him and the shrill screaming and vigorous stomping of wittle feet would begin!
