What you fail to realize, the issues with this team run much deeper than just the QB. I honestly believe you could have Josh Allen with Lamar as his back up and this team will still find a way to fail. Thinking its just the QB is shortsighted.
I'm all for finding Dak's succesor... but not disillusioned in thinking that is the answer.

Dak took the deal offered. That's how salary negotiations go with most jobs. You have a range in mind: a high wage above your acceptable wage but also keep a minimum wage you'll do.

Unlike those two Dak plays for the Cowboys. When a team is run by a man as ****** up as Jerry Jones it takes $60 million per season to sign a quarterback like Dak Prescott.

Brady and Mahomes would not have signed with the Cowboys for any amount of money at anytime in their respective careers. Did you ever stop and think about that?

Your argument is that Dak is somehow enough and it’s everything around him that’s the problem. Except Dak comparatively to Mahomes is not as mobile, doesn’t have the arm strength or the accuracy. So Mahomes with CD, Pickens and Ferg gives you way more than Dak under center or shotgun.

Dak’s contract hasn’t cost the Cowboys a single player, whether it be a free agent from another team, one of our own free agents or an extension to one of our players.

Absolutely not. I think the bigger question in this thread is do the players care about winning. I would say no, no they don’t. They want their money and that’s it. They care more about the Salary Bowl than the Super Bowl.

But when the mindset of the whole organization is marketing first, attention second and winning football games third (possibly social media is in the running too), then who can blame them. When in Rome.
