What a faulty argument the OP is trying to make. Switching from Romo to Dak was about passing the torch from one generation to the next. Have you all forgotten about Romo's speech about this being a meritocracy? Rush is the same age as Dak so there will be no passing of the torch. Many of you just hate Dak and will support anything that takes the QB1 job from him. There will be no Wally Pipp going on here.
Poor squirrel.
When we win on Sunday, I’m in a good mood until at least Wednesday.I'd like to see people try to cheer him on in the meantime!
All this contain your enthusiasm stuff...maddening. We have a glimmer of a bright spot...and we have to contain our enthusiasm....SHEESH!
Reality is Dak is a more talented quarterback
From a straight standpoint of physical talent, I'll take Dak all day every day. I'm rooting hard for Rush to win the next few games, but Dak is 10x better with his legs than Rush, and has a stronger arm. Rush seems to be the more accurate QB, but that is about the only category I would give him over Dak.Not a shot at you Thunderpimp but I don't understand this perception. I see very little talent for playing the position. That has always been his downfall IMO. Trying to get the best out of a very limited player on a weekly basis is not a winning strategy. Trying hard is great .... but at the end of the day playing QB in the NFL is all about having elite talent\abilities whether it be physical or mental. You can overcome limited physical talent if you excel in the mental area. If you have both, then you can become special.
Rush will be extremely lucky if he ends up .500. Let's pump the brakes with all of this nonsense talk about replacing Prescott.
it just shows how bad dak is and will make people imagine what would have happened last year if we had a different QB than dak . Make no mistake , dak is on notice now. No up and down games BS anymore . At 42 mil a year you should not be in a debate whether the 1 mil a year back up is better than you !!Romo lost his job to a hot Prescott.
Does the same happen to Prescott ???
If we are 6-2 by the bye, then Prescott has the rest of the year to recover.
I'm just sayin' ...
Rushing attempts paint the picture for me. The game plan was changed. So why not balance it with Dak? He's not perfect but I feel like they could game plan better.I agree. Dak has been somewhat successful for 6 years now. He has flaws...but how serious are they?
I do find it odd that Romo and other people have peppered in "he's not afraid" comments when talking about Cooper Rush though. Just seems odd for multiple random people to be saying that. I also find it odd that the Cowboys seem to be building up Dak's value around the league with mulitple players talking about his arm strength this training camp. Just seems like an odd topic that casuals and fans wouldnt care about but media was running with it. Then...you have what looks like Dak set up to fail in first game with odd play calling that seemed to suggest Dak needs to prove himself.
I wouldnt be surprised if Dallas is interested in moving on. The coaches behind the scenes could be in Stephen and Will's ear claiming Dak's flaws are pretty serious even though they dont show to the casual through the tv.

.....money rules!Rush won't get a chancento go 6-2 my friend and I'm certain the 40mil QB here WILL get his job back lol. Dak will be back in a few weeks rather he's ready or not.
