Does Dak wait until the WR makes a cut to throw?

The couple of slants to a well covered Gallup may answer your question. The timing and placement of a couple of well thrown balls. D4K is looking like the rust is off. I for one thought that this would be a challenging season for him when Cooper was jettisoned from our squad. With no clear number 1 receiver and "limited" TEs, I'd say he's throwing it pretty good. I hope he continues to improve and get our offense back close to the number 1 unit in scoring and yardage per game. He was on fire in the first quarter and a half.

He has to see the throw...instead of trusting the timing. Does it all the time. It's the most frustrating part of his game. He can't throw to a window...

I have been a critic of Dak... and yes the price tag matters because you are being paid as a 2-3 QB in the league but today he was excellent. Spot on with his throws and throwing into tight spaces. I have no agenda but the INT was not his fault. Even my wife mentioned that CD quit on his route. Dak was extremely efficient and we are 6-2 at the bye. As an aside... it ain't the 90s but that offensive line is very good. Your thoughts, please.

Dak played very well today. There's no doubt. TONY TOO!

But I noticed when tv coverage showed the QB and WR in the same frame, the WR was already out of his cut by a couple strides before Dak threw it.

So I don;t know how big a deal this really is. And I bet he certainly threw some passes earlier than the WR cut. Just saying what I saw on several passes....all (or mostly) completed.

So big deal? Not? Will it matter more against better teams?

yes he has to see him open before he throws it. Romo and Akmain used to throw them open to a spot the WR is going to a spot the ball is thrown there based on the coverage. This Offense OR Dak just do not do that. this is why a WR that can get separation is critical to them right now.

What I'm saying is non of us have enough information to answer the question you're asking. We can't tell you if the play was ran perfectly or was there some sort of problem. So non of us can point the finger at what went wrong.

So who lied or made up some odd stuff? Because it wasn't me.
You....and Rocky...are making up lies that I hate dak, that "I want him gone", "trashing him" and "pointing fingers".
I never said any such thing.

I gave him credit for playing well and am just asking about that part of the game. I'm not even saying he does or doesn't. I'm asking.

Apparently that triggers some people.

Wrong. He's not the greatest at it but he makes throws to receivers who aren't open at the time in games. He has to, receivers aren't open every play, that's just not possible...

I have consistently knocked Dak for waiting until a receiver is open to throw (not anticipating cuts), BUT I have noticed against the Lions and some today he did make those throws. Very encouraging.

I also think you will almost NEVER see anticipatory throws outside of the primary read, because you can almost never sync routes with a qbs processing and eye movement time.

Also I think Kellen loves deep crossers where the WR isn’t designed to be open until well after the cut…now you could argue that’s Kellen designing around Daks habits, but who can say except the coaching staff themselves

I saw a couple plays dsk watched the receiver cut take a few strides...and then throw.

It's not a crticism....I'm trying to understand this part of the game.

I can't speak for all the plays cause I can't see them all.

We don’t have receivers that battle for the ball. Just another thread for the Dak haters to feast on.

This is gonna sound like fence straddling but sometimes he does and sometimes he doesn’t. That’s the gods honest truth as I see it.

He throws some routes against some coverages with anticipation. Some routes against some zone coverages…. He has a tendency to hold the ball a tick longer and see the throw before throwing.

Fair enough.
On regular TV it can be hard to see the whole play at once. I noticed it on those few plays....and missed a lot more!
