Does Dak wait until the WR makes a cut to throw?

You....and Rocky...are making up lies that I hate dak, that "I want him gone", "trashing him" and "pointing fingers".
I never said any such thing.

I gave him credit for playing well and am just asking about that part of the game. I'm not even saying he does or doesn't. I'm asking.

Apparently that triggers some people.
I wasn't talking about pointing finger at Dak. I was saying the timing maybe off on the play for several reasons. We don't have enough information to blindly point the finger at what went wrong on the play.

ON THE PLAY.

I never said you were trashing Dak.
I never said you wanted him gone.
I never said you were pointing fingers at Dak.

So what the hell are you talking about. You are the one that's making things up. Next time read what I wrote instead of reading into what I wrote.

I lumped you in with Rocky. Sorry for doing that. Not fair.

I'm not pointing a finger. I get timing is on both thrower and receiver. I'm going to try to replay the game and get a screen shot. Or maybe there's some other commentary...

This timing thing seems like it's more on the qb and not as elusive as you are trying to make it? With all respect of course.

Dak played very well today. There's no doubt. TONY TOO!

But I noticed when tv coverage showed the QB and WR in the same frame, the WR was already out of his cut by a couple strides before Dak threw it.

So I don;t know how big a deal this really is. And I bet he certainly threw some passes earlier than the WR cut. Just saying what I saw on several passes....all (or mostly) completed.

So big deal? Not? Will it matter more against better teams?
Timing of this thread stinks I think we should have a good ole fashioned zeke hate thread
Dak played too well today :muttley::muttley::muttley:

and the answer to your question is it varies depends on alot if factors but sometimes he’s late

Fair enough.
On regular TV it can be hard to see the whole play at once. I noticed it on those few plays....and missed a lot more!

these are great videos from hall of fame QB. Kurt Warner.

He breaks Dak’s play down. Giving numerous examples of Dak throwing with anticipation, throwing before a WR breaks or throws before a WR comes open in Zone coverages.

Now to be fair. There are also other times Dak plays poorly or hesitates especially when his OL is playing poorly.

So again, it’s not to say Dak “can’t” do it. He can and does on a regular basis. But Dak struggles with it when he is getting pressured too much at times and he is better against some coverages than he is others.

You have to remember. On the TV broadcast we can’t see the receiver when Dak is throwing. So we see Dak throw. Then the ball go to the receiver when it arrives there. We can’t see what the receiver is doing when Dak is in his throwing motion most of the time. You have to look at the all 22 to know for sure.

As do many qbs under pressure

Ooh...timing. that's it? That's your objection?

When will it be okay for you,?

Did you notice I said he played great?

Did you notice I asked if it was even a thing?

If only you Zeke haters would be as courteous.

Plenty of Zeke hate threads for you to jump in if you want.

I told you I am specifically referring to a handful of plays I could see both dak and the receiver break on the same screen. I also told you I couldn't see a lot of other plays. Not sure if you are agreeing with me or arguing.

I’m offering you breakdowns on Dak’s play from Kurt Warner and giving you my opinion.

Yes sometimes Dak waits an extra tick to make sure. That’s part of playing it safe.

That Ceedee lamb pass was thrown with anticipation and it got picked off because the safety was able to jump the route and get in front of Ceedee.

Throwing before a receiver makes their break comes with risks too.

The bad timing stinks was a joke? Sorry..... didn't seem like it .

Dak played very well....Tony too. Was good to see dak run.

This isn't a bash dak thread. You know well and good I am a sincere poster and I don't hide hate with a caveat. I said in the op dak played well and I meant it. Did you read it?

Route design and defense dictate the throw. Does not matter if he throws before or after the WR made his cut. Some routes take longer to open up based on zone vs man. QB has to recognize the opening. There are timing routes but it’s hard to say when and where this offense would use them if you’re not in the huddle.

Actually I think this is what he learned a bit watching Rush with the quick reads and getting the ball out. He looked good yesterday with his timing with receivers. Honestly one of the better games I have seen him play!

Yes he waits. It's one of his areas that he needs to improve on.

Cowboys win convincingly. The offense plays well. Cowboys fans still complain. *** is wrong with yall? Yall want him to anticipate and lead his receivers and he throws a pick before the half because CeeDee doesn't turn defender on that throw.

If you think this is a "complaint"...you need to re-read my original comment. Slower.

Like when my first sentence i said this:

"Dak played very well today. There's no doubt. TONY TOO!"

Or when I ask you THIS quesiton (read it slow):
So I don;t know how big a deal this really is. And I bet he certainly threw some passes earlier than the WR cut. Just saying what I saw on several passes....all (or mostly) completed.

So now opening a dialog about a nuance....a QUESTION...is fans "complaining".

You are nuts.

It all comes down to what the play is, I am willing to bet every play there is at least 1 timing route, whether it gets looked at in the context of the play on the field depends on pre-snap reads. As to Dak throwing after a break the play will dictate. Can he make timing throws he can when he is "on", it is not his strongest suit. Some will think of this as criticism, but today he was very accurate in his placement, that is more important than whether he can throw timing throws. If he can't time a pass but put in a spot that is beneficial to the play that is fine. Yesterday there were a lot less of his receivers constantly reaching, or stopping to make catches that were off target.
