Dak is 100% more athletic.
Other than that freak accident, I would say he is built to take more of a beating as well.
I am going to assume even when he isn't confident, he portrays that he is (part of the intangible things)
Dalton 100% goes through his progressions better, and makes quick decisions without second guessing (for better or for worse).
I believe he reads defenses better as well. But, he has around 4 or so more years in the league than Dak.
I think he can probably handle a more complex playbook as well.
I really don't see where we will be any worse off in the Win/Loss department with Dalton.
If the defense stays the same, it won't matter if we have Mahomes back there.
But, I think his ability to not stare down a receiver he is throwing to, and going through all of his progressions has a lot of upside to it.
Especially with this group of receivers.
Even the most devout members of Dak's congregation have complained about that with Dak.
Quick timed passes, like Brady always did a lot of... could work out extremely well. Dalton can definitely get rid of the ball quicker.
I've always felt Dak was better off rolling out of the pocket, and not having time to second guess himself.
Garrett seemed intent on making him a pocket passer though.
Dalton, is a real pocket passer, but can throw pretty good on the run when flushed out of the pocket.
I think a pure pocket passer would probably be a benefit with this group of receivers though.
Who knows... like I said before... if we don't win, it isn't like anything really changed. We weren't winning before this either.
Although, I am not sure where some of the media seems to think our next games are easier?
I mean... the only team we played with a real defense is the Rams.
We have the Steelers, Ravens, 49ers, and even Washington is better then what we have played outside of the Rams.
