Does Jeremiah know what he's talking about? Claims Romo or Garappolo headed to Bears

leave my cojones alone, fan boy

You've had so many predictions crash and burn your cojones are like a bag of ashes. You should pour them in an urn and throw them out to sea. lol

Your opinion is noted. It's sad when everyone that has a different opinion than yours is in la la land but when you are wrong we never get an acknowledgment or apology.

Sometimes opinions are that out in left field. And the notion that the Cowboys are going to have an open competition for the starting QB spot or just hand Romo back his job is out in left field.

This discussion today like practically all our discussions started with YOU. I RARELY initiate discussions with you because I don't take your seriously. It all starts with YOU. I responded to another poster and you replied to ME (comment below) and that's what got us going back and forth today. The only one being creepy is you, all you do is stalk other posters.
LOL, I know you are but what am I. Stalker stop following me.

Go away and find someone to play with no one takes you seriously. Your track record is worse than Super Dave Osborne's.
Attacking the messenger because you can't attack the message. Romo VS Dak at TC.... book it.

He's making some very solid guesses based on the information that's been going around for awhile causing many to think Romo will be released. You didn't seem to know the ramifications of trading and releasing Romo because you kept saying you would rather have something in a trade even if it's a 5th round pick than allowing him to walk for nothing. Trading Romo for a low round pick and having to eat the full $19.6 M wouldn't be a smart move. It would be better to release him and spread out that money over the next 2 seasons.

I understand the ramifications quite well. The Cowboys are not going to be big time players in FA, so I'd rather take the full hit on the cap this year and not carry any dead money next year. Further, making him a June 1 cap hit doesn't suddenly add a bunch of money to the Cowboys FA pool this year. You can't use savings from Romo's June 1 cut until after June 1. By that point, all the top FAs have signed.

So I take the full hit now because I can afford it, take draft pick compensation and just move on. In fact, one of the articles you linked earlier said that the most likely possibility would be taking the full cap hit this year instead of making him a June 1 designation.

This article has a blurb at the bottom discussing the June 1 designation:

There is no need to make Tony Romo as post-June 1 cut (or trade). The reason often cited is that it frees up more than $5.1 million in 2017, while pushing off some of the dead money until 2018. But there are two problems with this idea. First, if Dallas took this option it would have to keep all $24.7 million on its books until after June 1. This ties up money that could be used for free agents during the period when they are available. Second, as discussed above, Dallas doesn’t need more cap space in 2017 if it can write contracts that push off the cap hit until year two or three or beyond, when the bulk of the Tony Romo money will become available.

So you know what the deal was that Romo made with Jerry? No you don't so, cool it.

Well for one, Jerry had the chance to put Romo back in later in the season and didn't do it. Two, Stephen Jones clearly has more control of the Cowboys and isn't nearly as crazy as his father. Three, you think there might be a deal in place where Jerry promised Romo his starting job back if they keep him?

Says the guy who predicted Hardy would show up 2 weeks into training camp last year. You probably still haven't given up on him. lol. Dak vs Romo at training camp isn't happening...BOOK IT!

Reading your earlier posts you didn't appear to understand the ramifications because you kept insisting anything would be better than nothing, regardless how low the draft pick is than allowing Romo to walk.

Romo asked to compete for his job back last year and was told no, because the policy is to only have competition for that QB job at training camp not mid season. Read into that what you want. Same policy is still in affect.

I completely understand the ramifications. I've always been willing to take the full cap hit this year, either via trade (preferable) or cutting him (if we received no trade offers).

Wish casting again.

The next time you hear from me it will be when training camp starts presenting you with another big plate of crow. Will be moving on from you until then.

You completely understand the ramifications now. Time to let this thread die.
