Does Jeremiah know what he's talking about? Claims Romo or Garappolo headed to Bears

The next time you hear from me it will be when training camp starts presenting you with another big plate of crow. Will be moving on from you until then.
If only that were true. If you didn't stalk me your day would never be complete. :p

This isn't rocket science. If you get something in return you trade him. If you don't you cut him. If I get a 4th or 5th round pick for him, that's not nothing. The fact you guys sit there with a straight face and try to argue otherwise is some of the funniest stuff I've read in awhile.

And LOL at the melodramatic comment that you'd be treating him like crap.

And if you trade him somewhere he doesn't want to go and it forces his retirement?

That is treating a guy like crap. Good teams respect players. Smart fans understand that.

If he can be got after his release, why trade for him? Rumors are abound the his release is immanent. The truth is he's not going to be released. He will be acquired by another team through trade after the combine -OR- we will see him competing for a job at our Oxnard training camp.

Well most of the teams who would likely want to trade for him would be destinations he'd probably be fine with - Houston, Denver, Chicago, Arizona. Crud places like Cleveland, Jacksonville, etc. are not. So it's a moot point about him then retiring. Plus Romo would likely let Dallas and the team trying to trade for him know well before if he would go there. Any team trading for him is going to want to talk to him and his agent about a restructure before a deal is consummated. So this silly idea that he's going to wake up and have a text from Jerry saying "Sorry buddy, I traded you to Cleveland" is laughable.

So again it gets back to the basic point, if you can get something for him in a trade, one would be foolish to say no and just let him walk for nothing. Smart fans understand that.

And this silly idea that Jerry, wanting to ensure he goes somewhere he wants is going to get us value in a trade is plain fantasy.

You know that other teams know this right? A smart fan would .. but I shouldn't assume that you get it

See, you set up strawman arguments. It's not about "value" for Romo. It's a decision between getting something, anything if you can versus nothing. Again, I'd rather trade him for a 5th round pick from the Texans or Broncos than just cut him so he can walk to the Texans or Broncos.

Further, sure teams know he might be cut. But the flipside is that if he's cut, he opens up to multiple teams possibly trying to sign him. If you trade for him, even throwing a late round pick at Dallas, you then don't run the risk of losing him in any FA battle.

A smart fan would also understand that.

How much would Tony fetch in return if DAL paid his 13m of his 14m salary with a restructure?

Not plausible or logical but trying to get an idea if the salary, cap space or player is the most valuable component in a trade

How the hell do the Pats have $60MM in cap space? Yeah, no one manages a roster like they do. No one. And it's not even close.

Amen to that. Hate them SO much. All those good picks and they still haven't even traded Garoppolo. My gosh....
