For the helmet to the chin of Romo?

I think he should.

Rogers took a cheap shot too trying to put the shoulder into him on the ground. He could have easily broken some ribs at a slighly different angle. He was doing his best to try.

Not unless he does it to one of the Mannings or whoever replaces Brady.

No way they cannot fine him and retain any credibility.

I was surprised there was no flag but I don't like seeing players fined for playing the game. I don't think there was anything dirty I think these guys are playing a game that is fast and physical and these types of hits will happen but then again I don’t think Roy Williams is a dirty player as some do. It is hell being a defensive player these days.

I believe he'll get fined because he clearly led with the top of the helmet. I would be surprised if he didn't get some sort of fine.

i agree with you man. fast and physical. don't think Brady's hit was cheap, and I don't think McGinnest intentionally meant harm.

I saw a few hits that came later than some of the penalties Ware took last year. I think without question there were a few the Browns *could* have let up at least a bit, but didn't.

This league wants to protect Romo -- there is no doubt in my mind about that.

Leading with the crown of the helmet is not part of the game. I don't think the hit was late or he was trying to hurt Romo. He did tuck his chin and lead with the top of his head. That will draw a fine. The reason not to do that is actually to protect the person doing the hitting. It helps protect their neck.

Brandon Jacobs deserves a fine from Thursday nights game for taking a swing at a player, too.

he should and will probably lose a game check

The fines aren't an entire game check for everyone are they? Asking.

I am sorry but he put his face is Romo's chest. Perfect form tackle honestly. If my world, that is not a fine, but in Bizarro land called the NFL it is. He will be fined but her really shouldn't. It was not a dirty play. If you tackle any other player like that, its a good tackle, the NFL just takes steps to protect QB's.

They have a funny way of showing it ..... he got late hit countless times last year and never got a call.

He got an obvious speared helmet in the first game and never got a call.

I disagree, he put his helmet under his chin.

There was nothing worth fining on that hit. Aikman got hit that way all the time, and there were never fines...though I admit that this is a different era now where it might as well be flag football.

It did appear that the Browns defense was determined to rattle Romo by knocking him down on every pass play after halftime. What other choice did they have? Romo was in the pocket reading a menu on every pass attempt in the first half. The Browns defense wanted to make sure he heard footsteps. The good news for us is that it didn't work, cut chin and all. He was far from rattled, and took the hits like an all pro.

I agree it should be a flag and said so I don't like seeing defensive players getting nailed with fines. I don't see offensive players drawing many fine but defenders are constantly getting nailed. If it was intentional I would agree that a fine would be warranted but I don't think these guys are out looking to intentionally hurt players.

He's going to get fined. Players always do for hits like that, on top of it Romo was hurt. It's not going to slip under the radar.

Offensive skill position players don't get fined. Offensive linemen do on occasion get hit with fines. A fine may remind McGinest to keep his head up when tackling someone, so he doesn't break his neck.
