let me lead with my helmet and could possiblly break your jaw and let me say "i didnt mean any harm"

No one says a thing when a RB lowers his helmet and delivers a blow to the defender.

Defenders aren't standing there defenseless. Apple, meet Orange.

That said, I do think some rules need to be in place to protect QBs. But on that McGinest play, he obviously lead with his helmet and aimed for Romo's facemask. He could have just as easily put a shoulder in his chest. He should have been flagged (that's obvious) and he should be fined.

A lot of time neither are QB's. I think a flag should have been thrown given the rules what I object to is the fines that come down. I was hacked when guys like Woodson was getting fined as well. Football plain and simple is a physical game played at a fast pace these are not robots and in my view there was nothing intentional

Whether or not anyone agrees with the rule, it was, in fact, an illegal hit.

It's no different from Roy being fined/suspended for making horse collar tackles last season. It doesn't matter if it's a good rule, it is a rule.

I do agree it is what it is. I just think it is a BS rule that is thrown on defensive players. There is a way to avoid getting hit, throw it away, fall to the ground or play baseball instead.
