Does parting ways with MM bring more hope or uncertainty?

There are many who wanted him fired last year after playoff debacle. And that grew with 3-7 record this year. But the vibe begun to change as we won 4 out of 5 games without our starting QB and depleted injured roster as the team appeared to continue fighting hard.

I think the vibe at end of season was Jethro would likely resign MM assuming he wanted to come back and not entertain other teams interested. And this ending may come as a surprise to many.

So, I’d be curious to hear your thoughts and why this provides you more hope or more uncertainty.

I would have to say uncertainty. With McCarthy, we knew what we had in him and that was an overall solid coach. We have no clue what the future will bring in as many of us have said it probably just doesn’t matter as long as Jerry owns the team. That being said maybe Deion Sanders is the kind of personality that can talk to and makes sense to Jerry and show him a plan of how to make the Cowboys relevant again. I’m not saying this will happen, I’m not saying I want Deion but maybe that’s the only Coach who could work with JJ.

Honestly the hope doesn't change much. Mike was worse than Garrett for the offense, he just had a much better DC. But however you slice it the main issue in building a good roster remains with the Jones clowns.

Fine with moving on. Mike had 5 years. 1 playoff win.

If it's a comfort pick, say K Moore, then it's just more of the same.
I doubt Jerry is at that level again to bring in a Parcells level coach that has the stones to push back.

Neither one for me. I really don't see much changing until Jerry and Stephen change how things are run, and I don't see that happening in the near future.

Both. Hope that someone comes in and isn't as much of a yes man as the last two. Uncertainty that Jerry's gonna Jerry with this choice

Good move, 5 seasons no results, saying you know how to win championships doesn’t mean anything. Same penalty problem same game management problems same time management problems. Maybe a new HC an OC can do something with Dak to hide his flaws along with a new DC. The gorilla in the room is of course Jerry, if it’s just another yes man boot licking HC like the last 15 years then not much will change but I’m willing to give the new guy a chance to change that

Hope springs eternal!

We all get that things probably won’t change, but I’m still here and coaching changes are always exciting.

You should also answer your own question before waiting on responses. Which is it for you?

I have more hope because any change to me can produce a miracle. That is what we need.....blind squirrel finding a nut. Wasn't happening with MM. So maybe we luck into it now. Plus Jerry is getting killed nationally and locally so that is always a plus
