Does parting ways with MM bring more hope or uncertainty?

Going back to KM is going backwards. He had his chance and they ran him out of town. Anyone want to see Dak slinging it 45 times a game again at his age?

There are many who wanted him fired last year after playoff debacle. And that grew with 3-7 record this year. But the vibe begun to change as we won 4 out of 5 games without our starting QB and depleted injured roster as the team appeared to continue fighting hard.

I think the vibe at end of season was Jethro would likely resign MM assuming he wanted to come back and not entertain other teams interested. And this ending may come as a surprise to many.

So, I’d be curious to hear your thoughts and why this provides you more hope or more uncertainty.
Nope. The problem became glaring when Jerry overpaid Dak and CD. It's hard to see any way out of this clustermess for the next 2-3 seasons. Hope I'm wrong.

Good move, 5 seasons no results, saying you know how to win championships doesn’t mean anything. Same penalty problem same game management problems same time management problems. Maybe a new HC an OC can do something with Dak to hide his flaws along with a new DC. The gorilla in the room is of course Jerry, if it’s just another yes man boot licking HC like the last 15 years then not much will change but I’m willing to give the new guy a chance to change that
Depends on who it is.

More uncertainty. Ill wait to see who is actually hired before being completely pessimistic on the outlook of this team, but my hopes are not high that Jerry will make a hire that actually moves the franchise forward, nor do I truly think that coaching was the primary issue in 2024.

We have to have a coach who will stand up to Jethro. And at the same time be someone better than MM.
That is a tall order; honestly the only one mentioned I had any hope for who might do that was Vrabel but he is gone.

KM will be just another lapdog for Jethro. He basically owes him too much to ever cross him.

Doesn’t matter who the coach is.

They will think one draft fixes this while other teams aggressively try to improve.

It’s really a matter of whether Moore wants to take the pay day (albeit at the low end) or hold out for an actual opportunity to win and not have a guaranteed strike one against his career.

I’d say Jerry pays more than he wants to and Kellen accepts.

doesn't matter. all that matters is that its not the same. unfortunately, the biggest problem with the team will still be here for the next 3 to 4 years so it doesn't matter who the coach is. fans will not have hope or excitement until the Dakster is gone. changing coaches will only give fans something different to complain about because the Dakster has put an anchor around the possibility of success for this team.

BOTH, it brings both.

I am 99% certain Kellen is already penciled in and that doesn’t give me hope. He is nothing more than Garrett 2.0 who has no coaching tree to pick from. He will probably have his coordinators hired for him, all from the same group of Linehan Garrett, etc. This is just reverting back to a decade ago. I don’t think he is even close to head coach material and I question if he is even a leader of men. This is going to be a disaster and Jerry will run roughshod over him. If he knows what is best for his future, run away from Dallas as fast as he can.

The good news is that this might lead to a top pick in a few years to try and get that franchise QB *cough* Arch Manning :muttley:

its more like who is the next victim. who wants to walk the gauntlet. who wants to be driven crazy. step up, because the results will be exactly the same.

I'm completely checked out. It doesn't matter what coach they bring in. Jerry still hires all the assistant coaches. Jerry still has the final word on everything including who starts on the roster. At this point God himself couldn't coach the Cowboys to the Super Bowl with Jerry interfering.

As long as Jerry Jones is calling the shots, there is no hope!

....speaking for myself, I feel hope with this.

Dallas has real talented team, but without Focus and coaching they'll stumble.

McCarthy wasnt the guy.

Hope - and it’s all we have. We are now the worst team and bad joke in the NFL.
