Randy Gregory has not even applied yet.

This was supposedly "just a missed test."

Does he even want to play?

Should they just give him his walking papers and be done with it?

I'm past the point of caring. If at some point he returns fine if not I'm good with that as well. I don't trust Gregory as a dependable part of this team. I would just as soon release him and bring in a player who can be counted on but it is not my call to make

i wonder if maybe the cowboys had asked Randy not to apply for reinstatement (knowing about the possible suspension of Quinn). he doesn't count against the roster spots until he is reinstated.

It has been rumored that Gregory will be granted reinstatement when he applies. They can go late into TC so they know how the numbers stack up due to injuries, suspensions & performance and then tell Randy when the most opportune time to apply for reinstatement is so that they can manage their roster.

Given the apparent depth of our dline (at least as it stands today), I think you will see them try to shop some players. If they can pull off trades, either for players or future picks and then bring Randy back, that is a pretty good win for the organization.
