Does Romo really give the Cowboys the best chance to win over Dak?

Wasted career? Dude went out with Jessica Simpson. A SB would just be the icing on the cake.

Football buddy. Romo should have won at least one SB or more and should be in the hall of fame and go down as one of the best QB's in Cowboys history. But because Jones was a terrible GM he never had the team or the coaching to get it done.
I dont see him winning a SB on his way out here. Its a shame.

I don't necessarily disagree with you, if we truly "got lucky" with Dak.

I think Romo's age and durability shows we have to get past the point of relying on him, but I'm not sure we're ready to get past the point of relying on him this year.

As I've said, I'm all for Dak remaining the starter if he proves that he could possible be the long-term answer. If he doesn't, then it's still Romo's team until we find that answer.

I can agree on all of that

I totally agree, just trying to lighten the mood. He hasn't been a slouch, however. Marino, Kelly, Moon just name a few didn't win the big one and you can't hardly call their careers wasted. We are just more vested in Romo since he is our guy.

What has Jones really give the guy in 12 years as our QB? Witten, TO, Dez, Murray one year, a great Oline for two years?

Never had a great defense and for the most part the Oline and the run game were paltry. When romo had a good run game the team went 13-3 and 12-4.

It took eight years (2006-2014) for Romo to FINALLY convince people he belonged as a starting QB in this league, and it's taken Dak Prescott 3 pre-season games. I'm as excited as anyone, but he is going to need to do it in real life before my excitement climbs too much.

No if Dak played like he did in the pre-season, Dak gives us the better chance. The problem is that's unlikely until he learns the complexity of reading NFL disguised defenses, blitzes etc. Romo still gives us the best chance when healthy. The keyword is healthy.
