Does this indicate Tapper is ready to go?

I would hope so. But there has been zero indication of this.

Does this indicate Tapper is ready to go?

Not likely.

Charles Tapper has returned to practice, but has been working off to the side with the trainers.

He hasn't played a snap yet.

Maybe Tap progresses over the week, but it's unrealistic to think he'll play next Sunday.

Does what mean he is ready to go?

Only keeping 7 other d lineman...going to be really hard for Marinelli to form a decent rotation with what he has to work with. When Kyle Wilber is in theory the #2 pass rusher behind the 1 and only Benson Mayowa it's really not good. That's why it's very important that Tapper is ready to go.

Of course it would have been a lot easier if the OP included all that.

Agree with this.

Why hasn't one mediot asked about the guy?
I have always wondered about the Cowboys beat writers - they never ask the hard questions - ever. I have commented on it over the last few years.
Makes me wonder if they are tolď if you ask tough questions, or get on a coach/player - that they will get no inside stuff from organisation.
Basic lollipop questions, and when Garrett is dismisive of one, never a follow up or anything.
Its funny - funny wierd, not funny ha ha !

I found this reported on August 29th...

DAL.png

Tapper (back) has not practiced in the past several weeks but could be nearing a return, Jon Machota of the Dallas Morning News reports.

Tapper has been dealing with some back soreness that is not believed to be too serious. If all goes according to schedule, the Cowboys believe that Tapper could be back practicing within the next few days. Dallas is expecting its fourth round pick from April's draft to provide the team with added depth on the defensive line during the 2016 campaign.

I read "shot" and I think herniated disk.

But "back soreness that is not believed to be serious" doesn't scream herniated disk to me.

Epidural steroid injections (ESIs) are a common treatment option for many forms of low back pain and leg pain. They have been used for low back problems since 1952 and are still an integral part of the non-surgical management of sciatica and low back pain. The goal of the injection is pain relief; at times the injection alone is sufficient to provide relief, but commonly an epidural steroid injection is used in combination with a comprehensive rehabilitation program to provide additional benefit.

Yeah I got something like this in my back several years ago, couldn't walk or stand for very long after a basketball injury.

Got 3 injections, and all has been healed and good since. My doctor said if I was older it would've been alot harder to fix, so if this is the case for Tapper, he should be fine. BTW, if the injections didn't work for me, back surgery was the next step.....so lets hope he is fine with the injections if that is what he is doing.

So let me get this straight.

We are currently carrying 4 DTs, 4 DEs one of which is getting injections to help a hurt back?

LOL. You can't make this stuff up.

Oh I forgot. Our strong side LB is going to play some DE too.

Tapper needs to be grabbing high boxes for old lady's. He's no NFL football player. tired of hearing his name. What has he done? Just because our starters are suspended he's a baller and we need him..
