But in the meantime, you trash the guy. But, if or when dinner is served, you and other will be first in line to eat.

You must have me confused with someone else. I'm a Romo supporter.

Not likely. If any other player is even close they'll give it to that person instead.

True, the strange thing about this is that every single player I have seen on NFL Network that gets asked about Romo always has great things to say about him. Players in our division, retired greats, and the the very good players seem to acknowledge how Romo is underrated and should be top 100, but the media puts on random scrubs who I have never heard of that blast Romo. Charles Woodson, Charles Tillman, and Roddy White all agreed that Romo deserved to be in the top 100 over a guy like Flacco despite winning the Super Bowl. What bugs me is if all these people are publicly saying that Romo should be in the top 100, then who exactly voted on this thing???

Dude, it's not only the media that rags on Romo, hell, we have Cowboy fans that dog the crap out of the guy. Romo will never win MVP, IMO. The only way he gets the media/Cowboy fan monkeys off his back is to win the SB.

And, if Romo ever gets to the SB and loses it...it's only going to get worse for the bastid!

If he plays like he did in 2007 or 2011 and the Cowboys have the best record, then yes, easily. I'm still stunned that Peterson was able to win the award in these ESPN-driven, quarterback-worshipping times. Who knows?

Even having better stats than other QBs in the league doesn't guarantee anything. Rodgers threw for 39 TDs vs only 9 interceptions and led the league in QB rating (108) and he wasn't even in the Top 3 of MVP voting.

Stats aren't everything, but for the most part they usually are an indicator how valuable a player is to that team. As for Aaron Rodgers not being in the top 3, I disagreed with that, heck how is P.Manning even top 2? Broncos were a playoff team last year before they even acquired P.Manning, and they even won more playoff games! It's just that P.Manning is put on a much higher pedestal even though he wasn't more valuable to his team. Like I said above, media perception plays a good part in the award.

I would throw Drew Brees in there also. I think Romo will have an very good year but Brees will probably throw more yards and TDs.

Let's see...

Undrafted...Wears his hat backwards...Plays to much golf...Dated hot chicks...Married a Beauty Queen...Got tons of money...The media dogs him...Cowboys fans dog him...He lost a game to advance to the playoffs...He's not a leader...He's a gunslinger...He went to Cabo...He fumbled a snap in Seattle...He pouts on the sidelines...he's a choker....

And those are some of his good traits! Well, of course he can win an MVP! Hell, he's done everything else. Why not?

I'm afraid that the Cowboys will have to win big for Romo to win MVP.

I think Romo's more likely to win a Super Bowl MVP than a regular season MVP actually. Romo's a very good QB but just not league MVP good. I guess it's not out of the question if everything breaks right and all the better QBs have mediocre/down years, but it's very unlikely imo.

I agree It bugs me. Ryan is not elite. Romo is one of the best easily. I get tired of everybody saying your not good with out hardware. He does need some playoff wins though. So I guess Stockton and Malone werent that great either!! Lol this is why I want him to win the sb just so people will stop. It would be a huge shame if Romo as good as he is never does!!!!

IT WILL NEVER STOP. (Don't take the is wrong, really, I'm just asking), Are you a young Cowboys fan?. Cowboys players will never be liked, and/or be as much respected as other guys, perhaps forever, but for sure not while they are playing. It is just part of being a Cowboys fan, get used to it . I know it sucks, it always has, but at the same time IT'S AWESOME WHEN YOU WIN. Look at some of our all time greats. People still like to hate and take away Cowboys player achievements. Look at guys like Aikman, Irvin, and Smith. People still try to argue that Aikman doesn't belong in the HOF, and that Smith shouldn't be mentioned with Brown, Payton, and Sanders. Irvin could have been the best WR of all time if not for the neck injury. You will never hear anything other than Jerry Rice. Prime-Time was a 49er or a Falcon, but not a "real" Cowboy. Howabout this one, Staubach couldn't have played in the NFL today. I could go on and on. It's part of the territory. If we ever turn this thing around and get to go to even one Super Bowl, or we become a team that wins more than it loses again, THAT ALONE will satisfy all of my "RESPECT" questions. If those things can happen, who cares what our players are labeled, or what awards they win!!!!!!

I agree. All we have to do is look back to the first super bowl win against the bills. All the pregame experts on NBC picked Buffalo. After the game was over they all looked shell shocked that the cowboys dominated so easy. If you look back at the tapes Bob Costas looks and sounds absolutely disgusted that the Cowboys pulled it off and were back. That in it self was satisfaction for me..whether or not the media accepted this team or not didn't matter...they had the ring...no one could argue with that. That's why years later there are still media who want to discredit the individual accomplishments of that team.

I doubt it. To no fault of his own. QB's who winn MVP's are the ones who QB well oiled machines(cliche). I don't see the Cowboys clicking on that level out the gate.

I think he could be the hottest QB by seasons end! Which is more important than an MVP trophy.
