and it's no secret that this thread is utterly ridiculous. Romo being the future means success for the Cowboys. What former Cowboy would wish continued failure for the Franchise. Troy always will be known as a Cowboys and will always be associated with the Dallas Cowboys. What reason would he have to resent Tony Romo. Romo can't hold Aikman's jockstrap. Aikman is not even considered the best Cowboys QB of all time.

No, but Aikman's 3 for 3 in Super Bowls surpassed Staubach's 2 victories and several other losses in the big one.

Do you think that Staubach wasn't the least bit worried about his legend when Aikman was winning all of those Lombardi's? Sure he was, it is simply human nature. I'm not faulting either him or Aikman for feeling that way. I would feel the same way.

I dont think he resents him. I really dont. BUT... I have heard Troy talk about Tony Romo is a good way more than once... Troy actually put emphasis on RomO... so I am not sure why he said Roma the other day... maybe he was gushing and got excited or maybe he was rushing to get his comments in

The only time I noticed a small hint of what you are saying was when Buck suggested that Romo was having the greatest performance on Thanksgiving by any QB in the history of the Cowboys. Troy stepped in really quick, cutting him off, stating there have been some other pretty good ones.
