Im not one that cares one way or other about Wentz--except hoping he stinks vs Dallas.:muttley:

But, he had the 3rd most passing yards in NFL history as a rookie.
I don't really think, ad a player only enteri g year 2, that he needs excuses.
Passing yardage totals don't mean much nowadays. Even QBs like Blake Bortles have thrown for a ton of yardage.

All last season, we heard how Wentz had no weapons and no talent on offense, and that was why Dak was outperforming him and getting all the accolades. Yet in the first 4 weeks last season, he was "the next Brett Favre"...

He had a ton of attempts, and yardage means very little anyway without context.

In terms of ratings overall, most systems I've seen him in the bottom five or so players in the league for qualifying passers. And he trended down after a hot start.

That's with decent team support around him in terms of his protection and his defense.

He's a physical beast. And struggling as a rookie is not indicative of what might happen in his career. He's got the potential to be great. But he didn't perform great. He has footwork and mechanical issues. He needed to sit a year and work on his game. As it is, now he's got to improve on the fly, under a spotlight.

Let's all hope he fails miserably. Agendas should have gone out the window the minute the Eagles spent the #2 overall on him.

Like I said.
I dont care one way or the other.
Just giving an honest opinion here.

And I agree that the eastern media was way to far into his jock.
But, for a rookie, I did think he wasn't terrible.

We as Cowboy fans just got spoiled by Dak...who was even so much better.

Of course he wasn't here. But it's to highlight how silly people are when they talk about how transformative Elliott was to the team's success. This team doesn't win 7 games last year with Moore or Weeden at QB.

Did Elliott have a hand in their success? Yes. Absolutely. But he wasn't that transformative that if you gave him a bad QB, this team still would have been good.
This is insane.

Read stuff around the league about what execs said about zekes on the field play and how he impacted this team last season..

In fact, just google "Ezekiel Elliott MVP" and see what almost everybody had to say about our stud RB

If you think for one second Zeke has the same year he did last year with Brandon Weeden or Matt Cassell at the helm you're trippin'.

When you're hearing the D.B's of enemy teams talk of the punishment of pain they feel in tackling him and how it leaves a lasting impression ?,,, that's pretty impressive stuff right there.
