Done with T-New

Both CBs have underachieved this year but it doesn't help that none of the DEs collapse the pocket and pressure the QB on a regular basis.

I'm hoping that tougher practices and discipline (Garrett) will help with the devolpment of the younger guys and with team toughness overall.

Comedy. Off the top of my head I know for fact that Houston's Grover Quin is the worst in the NFL, and I don't even follow the AFC that much let alone the Texans.

Going into last night, Jenkins had given up 2nd most passing yardage surrendered of any cornerback in the NFL. This is before he gave up a season record 91 yard TD catch, so undoubtedly he's moved into first place after last night. Also going into last night, he had allowed an unbelievable 105 QB rating on throws at him. Again, this was before the craptacular performance from last night, giving up the longest TD catch of the NFL season. Spin them any way you want, those are facts.

The thing is ... he's actually worse than his atrocious stats. The stats don't even take into account all of his pass intereference/illegal contact/holding calls, nor do they take into account his hilarious and comical attempts at tackling that have become YouTube sensations.

Yeah, I saw your post in the other thread after I posted that.

Do you have a statspass, or did you just read that somewhere?

JJT put it up in his latest article. I'm putting faith that he can correctly read a ledger.

Stats or no stats, it doesn't matter. Except for the blind homers, anyone who has seen the Cowboy games this year knows how bad Jenkins and Newman are.

Right now, Jenkins and Newman are as bad as Courtney Brown.

Is this a serious question?

How many CBs in this league square up and make a form tackle in the open field? Not nearly as many as you guys seem to think. There's a reason that guys play CB and not linebacker. They're not big hitters. Be careful what you wish for. You want two guys that don't tackle any better than Jenkins?

You kidding me?

Did you watch the game?

Granted, we flopped up front down the stretch, but overall the front 7 played alright. Better than the secondary.

I completely disagree. The front 7 folded in the second half and McCoy rushed for >100 yards. It was a pathetic effort by guys who absolutely abandoned their game plan at the end.

Newman and Jenkins SUCK so bad. And then there's Alan Ball....he's even worse. Scandrick is playing decent but.....he's a third CB at best. Same with Sensi....he's OK, but a backup on most teams. God our def. backfield is a mess right now.

Newman was following orders by playing off. Clearly, Only a moron would think otherwise.

Yes, clearly the call on 3rd and 5 and most of the game as well, was "play 15 yards off your man".

Paul also ordered Newman not to even try to make a play, "or else.."

Come on guys..

Name one play when Newman did not play the coverage as it was called. Or name one play when Newman was 15 yards off his man.

I didn't say Newman couldn't tackle..

Newman shut DeSean Jackson down three times last season, including a playoff victory and the defacto NFC East Championship Game. Jackson totaled 90 yards in three games, and some of his yards came in garbage time when Dallas called off the dogs or Newman late in the last two games. (Game 2 for sure)

I didn't hear any of the usual suspects last year praising Newman for his great play against Jackson.

Last night Jackson had 210 yards in one game, so maybe some people can really appreciate what Newman did to Jackson last season.

I don't expect the bizarre, agenda driven fools to comprehend what I just stated. It doesn't fit their agenda.

T-New will be devastated to know that you, the very influential mmohican29, are done with him.

He kept drives alive with huge cushion. I hope it's injury related because, if it's not, he's Keith-Brooking-done.

That's just it, it is always injury related with Newman. That's his excuse even when he's healthy and getting beat. Who was that poster that kept saying Newman was garbage? I'm going to have to agree. He is not an elite CB. Never was. Plus, the guy has hands of stone.

Hopefully we can successfully replace him next season.

Every secondary gripe I have begins and ends with two words - DAVE. CAMPO.

The man has proven time and again he cannot make the necessary adjustments during a game to stop or even slow a teams passing attack.

Dude, get real. As if you know what coverages were called. You're grasping at straws trying to defend Terri Newman. It ain't working.

The person's humorous "15 yds off" comment was not to be taken literally. If you can't figure that out...

Hey Adam, since you are quite the Newman apologist, how about making an excuse for the wuss Newman quitting on the Jackson TD. Let's hear it.
