If three steps with the ball isn't enough to count as a football move, how many do you have to take? 7? 17?

Three. Steps. How can you possibly take three steps, twist and almost change direction, then LUNGE toward the goal line and at no time did you make a "football move." Stupid. It's not a judgment call. It's cut and dry. They botched it.

That's your opinion if it was cut and dry the call wouldn't have been reversed. Dez caught the ball but by rule he didn't complete the process of the catch all the way to the ground.

Not if you take those steps as you are falling down. The rule is the problem not the reversal. To the eye that is clearly a catch but the rule says it is not.

So if he takes 15 steps and then bobbles it, no catch?

Awful call that literally decided the game. We got it in our favour last week and now against us. Just awful. If the NFL isn't rigged, I don't know what it is.

He literally has the ball in his hand the whole time and it never touches the ground. Not once.

The problem is DET had like 8 min to recover we didn't ...JOKE National Fixed League

that was a catch. the man took 2 steps and was reaching for the goal line when the ball came loose. this was nothing more than a BS make-up for the picked up flag from last week. all the crying and whining from ESPN and all the cowboy haters worked.. and this is the same replay ref that gave the packers a catch in the first half when the ball hit the ground.he is a joke and a disgrace. and so is the NFL.all the haters got what they want.

Clear catch.. No judgement to it.. He had the ball and was trying to score.

By the rule that's in place he didn't complete the process of the catch all the way to the ground. The Calvin Johnson play from a few years ago that resulted in this rule was more of a "catch" than this one.

They should the other angle and they quickly cut it. I think that the ball might not have hit the ground until he lunged forward.

The former head of Officiating just explained the rule on FOX, he helped write these rules..it's been the rule for 4 years

The rule doesn't apply when you make a football move like Dez did.
As Jason Garrett is saying...Dez had 3 feet down and reached out for the end zone.
