I mentioned last night, but I know it's early, but he's been pretty disappointing so far. Not like he doesn't have a chance to standout as most of our DL/LB are mostly jags.

Side note, but has any team had worse luck with 2nd round picks than Dallas? Going back to 2010 these were our picks

2010 Sean Lee
2011 Bruce Carter
2012 No pick
2013 Gavin Escobar
2014 DeMarcus Lawrence
2015 Randy Gregory
2016 Jaylon Smith
2017 Chidobe Awuzie
2018 Connor Williams
2019 Trysten Hill
2020 Trevon Diggs
2021 Kelvin Joseph
2022 Sam Williams
2023 Luke Schoonmaker
2024 Marshawn Kneeland
2025 Donovan Ezeiruaku

Lawrence is the only decent one

Lee was great - when his knees worked.

The jet sweep TD for Egbuka was the perfect example of low-IQ football. Eze literally watched Egbuka run right past him WITH THE BALL IN HIS HANDS and STILL continued looking into the backfield…
No awareness. I agree

I agree. The man has warning track power. He gets sooo close, but can't close the sack or bring down the runner. He's got pretty good technique, but he's a smaller guy to start but he also has zero football instincts for finishing a play. In college he had like 17 sacks in a season, but it was a smaller school/conference and this is the NFL.

He simply cannot finish. He also lacks bend, but that’s not the main issue, really. He’s getting to the QB and completely making the wrong decision within touching distance.

I agree with the comment above that I now have more hope for Lawrence, and that’s sad, because I loved the Eze pick and thought he did well enough last year. We just aren’t seeing improvement yet.

He did have that surgery in the OS, but I doubt that’s still impacting him.

Don't understand how he went from unblockable in last year's training camp to this trash he is currently putting on the field. He was a 2nd round pick so I guess expecting him to be our war daddy is a little much. Hopefully he finds a role in the defense eventually and doesn't end up as a wasted pick.

He isn't disappointing. Like all DE's it's sacks or nothing and that doesn't tell the entire story. For example, the six tackle game against Tampa Bay is encouraging. He is involved in the passing game too getting hurries and pressures. He just needs to learn how to finish those into sacks.

Trevon was a All Pro, D Law was solid, Chidobwas solid..Connor Williams too. Bruce and Sean Lee too.

EZE actually came close to a sack last night but it was erased by a penalty. Probably would have been a half sack also awarded to Von Miller.

He wasn't drafted to be one.
If I recall correctly, there was talk that Matt Eberflus wanted them to take EZ at 12th overall but they went with Booker. Might have just been post-draft hyping of the picks but imagine if that was really the case.

Last year I was saying he looked like being a 7-8 sack guy was his ceiling but I might need to adjust that further downward. Wasn't seeing what people were hyping about him last year and still don't see it, although a lot more are not seeing it now too.

Really meant we shouldn't expect it as a fan base but he had 16.5 sacks in college and 8 forced fumbles and Cowboys said they felt the got first round talent in the second round. He wasn't known as a run stopping edge. So seems to me they were hoping unless you have some kind of inside knowledge about the pick.
