Donovan Ezeiruaku will be a War Daddy

Why? it will only help Micah.. maybe he will get double teamed less if this kid is for real.
Agreed. If he's for real, it will help him in the short term because they won't stop double teaming Parsons.

Those paying attention know that Parsons is not getting traded. The Cowboys pay their stars.

I always exercise caution with rookies. The NFL is a major step up from college, especially Boston College. EZ has a lot of tools, but NFL OTs are bigger, stronger, quicker, and experienced.

I also have a feeling we could see a different Sam Williams this year. We haven't heard too much about him, which in his case is a good thing. For Williams, the light bulb has to come on. He has the physical ability, his problem in the past has been brain cells. If he can avoid the stupid mistakes he has a chance to be a solid starting DE for Dallas.

Totally agree on Williams. Talent is definitely there. Brain has not been. Still these are his contract years and you have to this he understands how important that is.

Going to be like Tony Tolbert and Ware. Combination of them. Very steady Eddie, someone the opposing team has to plan for every down.
Speaking of Ware, I never realized he had a lot of the same measurements/speed as Charles Haley. Ezeiruaku is shorter than both but close in weight and has decent speed. It's going to be nice seeing him develop and hopefully Ware/Haley come in and show him a thing or two.

Yeah he's got some speed for his size. Hope he puts it together. Last chance in his contract year so I expect him to perform and focused.

War daddy?

Nobody makes lame, cheeseball nicknames like Cowboys fans.

Why is there a high dork percentage in our fan base?
What a clown comment. I am trying to interject some fun into this forum and a positive note and a turbo azz clown like you has to chime in. That’s a stupid old term Jerry throws around. He has a few. Go get some fresh air.

At this point, going to really need the pass rush to help cover the secondary deficiencies until everyone is up to speed and/or healthy.

If you are looking for some inspiration and hope for the upcoming season go to YouTube and look for DE scouting report videos. I never know what we can link or not so I won’t do that here but for those feeling glum give this a try. I watched 4/5 of these videos and it’s the formation of some hope. The guy is as polished a pass rusher as you’ll see. Bull Rush, dip and rip, hand fighting, getting small and firing through gaps, the ankle flex, the leverage. Man it’s impressive. I also learned that he is a TFL machine. Much better against the run than you would think. Great character guy. Produced despite being double teamed. Imagine what he will do with 11 on the other side. A GREAT pick at 44.

So if you have the Cowboys Blues go dig around this guy’s scouting videos.
Can we please retire this phrase, it’s so weird

That's not going to happen. That's best case scenario. We have a small front, and will have to dedicate more people to the run. That will put our DBs on notice.

Tap the brakes we’re only in May. Scouting videos and how a player will perform in the NFL don’t always match up.

They do not have to be a top 10 talent to be considered a steal.
After all, a top 10 talent is expected to produce.

I like the pick, he was ranked higher, and they actually did get value for once. With a 2nd round pick.
No they do t need to be a Top 10 talent to be a steal....but that's not the point.

The guy said he was a steal BECAUSE he was a top 10 talent.

I agree, that I think we got him at a VERY good spot, but that has nothing g to do with the fact that the guy I was addressing described him as a Top 10 talent, which he isn't, nor has ANYONE said he was, including GMs (by their actions), except this guy.

Steal? Yes, maybe by a half round. A top 10 pick? Not even close

The guy is going to be a steal for us. He and MP together are going to cause a lot of havoc for opposing QBs.
Dallas really did nail the draft, the early part at least. Time will tell about the rest.
