Man, it sounds like a bunch of middle schoolers in here. Philly is leading the division...check your newspaper or espn.com to see who's on top. You win the division by having the best record overall, even if you lose more divisional games...the divisional record only comes into play when two teams have the exact same record.

Bottom line: whoever wins on Sunday will definitely have an early lead in the NFC EAST. I'm glad you guys are so confident that Dallas will waltz into Philly and destroy the Eagles...I don't feel that way at all. Winning in Philly is a very very tall order, always has been, even back when we were the superior team. I know...I used to go to the PHilly game every year, and even when they were at the bottom of the division, they seemed to almost always beat us in Philly.

If we can run the ball...If Bledsoe doesn't turn it over and has a good game...If the OL protects him well against all the Philly blitz packages...and IF our defense shows up and can contain McNabb, then we will win this game, even on the road.

But it won't be easy...we need to play very good football. I expect the score to be very close at the end of the first half, and I hope we win in the 2nd half.

Come on Limbo......don't let those mean little boys push you around like that.

You seem confused LT ...your quote is from summerisfunner, yet you're speaking to Timbo2st:confused: Perhaps this Eagles victory on Sunday will help you snap back on track.

Can we talk about the match-ups?

Quite frankly, Dallas is a good team and depending on who makes the most mistakes, who protects their QB better, and whose DL shows up and grinds it out best, will determine the momentum.

JJ is looking good, but Westbrook matches up and possibly (you think) surpasses him.

What can we say about T-Glenn and T-Owens ...both clutch players that should be able to make game-breaking plays if given the opportunity. But Sheldon Brown, Michael Lewis, and possibly Lito Sheppard plan to thwart those opportunities ...did I say anything about the X-man?!

Bledsoe has some real good skills and given the time, he probably would hit his targets all day from the pocket. Out of the pocket and scrambling, he's going to be like a fish out of water for Howard, Cole and several different faces of Eagle blitz'. I'd actually be more concerned about Romo in the backfield, but even he lacks the experience needed at his current level of play.

Huge question is ...can you OL hold up against our DL. Many here like to revisit the teams that the Eagles have defeated, calling them cake walks and easy games against easy teams. But if you recall the 49ers game when the 49ers moved the ball up to the red-zone and were stopped by a very stubborn Eagles DL on a goal line stand, the Eagles made a major statement.

That said, I'm only telling you that you are not facing the 2005 Philadelphia Eagles ...we'll compete at the highest level. Will the Cowboys be able to elevate their game accordingly?

There's a lot of wisdom in your words w_m ...but a tall order indeed. If either team is significantly ahead at the half, that may dictate who will carry the momentum into the 4th and final quarter.

Prepare to hear the noise! The stadium will be electrifying and Bledsoe had better practice up on his hand signals because his audibles will be useless. But no one is underestimating your Cowboys! We'll bring our "A" game!

Slow down CrazyCowboy! I know you're psyched-up for the game, but who the Heck are you talking about. Your statement could apply to just about any of our offensive weapons. If you mean McNabb, don't forget we've got another former NFL starting QB as backup ...Garcia!

The bigger question, is how are your wrs going to get open against our defense? That is the big question. Our secondary is very good. Your wrs are banged up and scare no one. There will not be a weak spot to pick on like last week.

Couple that with your inability to sustain a running attack, and you have no chance. Your one dimensional and that dimension doesn't scare Dallas.

I would stop pointing to your DL as well. They have not looked the same since the Kearse injury. In addition, our line play has ended up being one of the strengths of our team. Keep hoping that your going to see Bledsoe running for his life.... Parcells is going to establish the run.

It's going to be a good game, it is tough to win on the road. I see a lot of overconfident Eagles fans though. I hope they are ok after Sunday.

You may think that's a difficult question, but it actually has any easy answer. You may be thinking this is still the 2005 Eagles with a one-dimension, pass, pass, pass, menality. But if you haven't Noticed, in 2006 we've been mixing it up, passing still, but running, using our TEs, and opening up plays In the flat for our WRs. This has Been highly effective in confusing secondaries and confusing DLs.

PT, take off the Homer Glasses. ALL your offense is in the hands of McFlabb and Westbrook. You have nothing else that worries ANYONE. Westbrook is injured and frankly will not last the game. McFlabb is going to be contained and has no one to throw to that will get open. Your secondary is over rated even when healthy and is banged up. Our O line is finally playing well and will do good enough for our WR and TE to eat your secondary up. Then late in the game we will pound it down your throats with the running game.

Limited perspective, humorous, yet non-persuasive. McNabb and Westbrook aren't just threats ...they are double threats, both able to do more than what their positions dictate, both able to modify plays as they develop.

Underestimate the rest of the team if you want to, ...you'll pay dearly!

Because, as we all know, a fan's estimation of the opposing team has an enormous impact on the outcome of the game.

Yeah, let's do that.

Conveniently left out the wide receiver position making plays against the opponents secondary. Not surprising since it clearly doesn't favor your team. But it should be considered since it was the reason your team was able to beat the Packers, despite both of your lines being outplayed.

Maybe as a receiver but that's it. Jones is as good a running back. Maybe better. And Jones is healthy while the same can't be said for Westbrook even if he does play.

Funny, that the Eagles' secondary hasn't looked too good so far against less than stellar competition? Sorry, not scared of the league's 28th best pass defense........

If he "scrambles" as much as Favre had to we'll be in fine shape. How many sacks did you have against him again?

Yeah, ignore the fact that the Niners moved the ball down the field. And gloss over the fact that your opponents have been cake walks. Games against the 32nd, 31st, 27th and 24th defenses can hardly qualify as being tested.

I'm sorry but in the Green Bay game, *until* the game was broken wide open, the only running threat of any consequence was Donovan McNabb. If Westbrook can't play I can't say I'm at all worried about the Eagles running game. Hell, if Westbrook can play, I'm still not worried about the Eagles running game, it's just that Westbrook "takes it up a notch" in the short passing game.

McNabb is looking good and spreading the ball around. Some low throws but he's lively in the pocket and he's clearly the best running QB this side of Michael Vick.

And unlike some other people here, I'm an old enough dog not to predict anything in a division rivalry game, no matter how different the records are. Division rivalry games often swing on emotion as opposed to talent and record. Should be a good game.

David.

Yeah man, kudos on that great goalline stand/ statement against the 49ers?!?!? How a team like that even gets to your goalline baffles me.

I know that goalline stand alone has us quaking in our boots.
