And with all the other pieces that Dallas has, we are not starting from scratch because we move on from a LATE round draft pick that has as many issues as he does intangibles. Do I know that we could draft a QB in the 1st 2nd 3rd round that has enough talent to run a professional offense? Yes I think I’m confident in that. And like I said this team would still have ample talent even if Dak wasn’t on the roster and a defense that is getting better

The challenge is getting positioned to get a QB that they think has a better upside. These young guns coming out the next two seasons are going to be in high demand with some of the older QB's nearing retirement and the cellar dweller teams that seem to need them every year. Plus the QB's in these last two drafts will either be rising or falling. AZ is probably going to suck again and if they decide Rosen's not the guy after 2019, they will be in line for Tua or Herbert.

What I wish Son would have done is explain that while they do have room this year, they have a lot of critical players up and need to keep as many as possible. That would give them next year with him and more options than extending a player with a current contract. If he shines and the price goes up, who cares? The questions about him being the one would be answered.

There are two players I have some apprehension about a long term deal at this time, Lawrence and Prescott. I am fine with Lord Byron because while he might not be the best CB or a pick specialist, he is solid and having a top 4 CB is better than we've been in 20 years. And they can option him this season since he was a 1st rounder.

Lord Byron wont be here, sorry to say. He underwhelmed in the playoffs and even prior. HAD a good year up til about week 15...then something happened. Byron will walk and Lewis will start in his place. No drop off and cheaper.
