Jackie Smith is a HOF TE.

For Gawd's sake, get over the fumble and move on. It sucked, OK, got it. Give him the ball today and let him make up for it.

Luepke is an excellent gadget player who can be very useful, and is the only short yardage power back on our roster to boot.
If I’m HC he’d never get another goal line carry.

No one (aside from a very small, dumb minority of users) wants to toss him. Most sensible posters just rightfully acknowledge that he is the type of player that can be had as an UDFA every single year: Slow, bruiser running back from an FCS program with some pass catching and blocking ability.

You need those players to fill out the bottom of your roster and play special teams. I like the player, but to pretend he will ever be a huge difference maker is totally unrealistic. He just lacks the physical tools.
You mean difference maker in the negative sense obviously.

I said we don't play him because WE DON'T PLAY HIM.

Honestly, reading comprehension may not be your strong suit.
There are a ton of things you may be better at than I am. A ton. Reading comprehension obviously isn't one of them. You asked me, "HOW WOULD YOU KNOW..." in reference to my comment that he hasn't shown us anything. And I answered that he hasn't shown it, because he hasn't shown it.

It's not a terribly complicated line of logic to follow.

If he has shown it and I missed, let me know. I'd love that. If Luepke is the next Moose and I didn't see it based on what he's done..GREAT! I don't have to be right (or even want to be). If you're trying to ask me "How would you know..." that he hasn't shown anything if he isn't playing...if that's actually your argument...then I'll just let you have the win. There are some things I can't fix for you.

- i would have thought once we were up 28-10,, then we'd rest up Pollard/Rico, by giving Luepke some carries.

- Did the coaches lose confidence in Luepke after just that one lone fumble at the goal line ?

- Didn't we have 134 totals yards rushing vs Washington ?

- i'll take that, but i myself also am not convinced we're a solid ball running team yet, and it will still be a
thorn in the side in the playoffs.

Logic is not your thing. It's OK, understanding that a player cannot show something if he doesn't play is a very complicated thought.

Let me guess, we once again don't use him, let him get his feet wet in a blowout, and now we'll expect him to suddenly be excellent in a playoff game. Gawdawmighty we're dumb.

It sure looked like he wasn’t expecting the ball to me but I’ve never heard anything from staff on it
It's clear by everything he did that he thought he was executing a fake.

Trouble is, looks equally clear that Dak expected him to take the ball.

It is funny that we haven't gotten an answer in a press conference on this one.

Well, they haven't given up on him.

I saw him out there a lot today. No carries, but he's on the field.

All I said was that I hadn't seen anything from him. You're excuse doesn't make my comment incorrect.

As far as the jabs, grow up.

Him lead blocking and sealing the blocks or taking out 2 players at a time is pretty nice to see!
