now that we resigned McClain and Wilber. Jack does not play slb. And McClain starts at least 2 downs.

I just don't see a Non pass rushing LB that high. Don't know if it's ever been done
In a 4-3, the LB's don't do much pass rushing.

You mean the eight full games he plays?
It's a good point. But we also drafted Hitchens and Damian Williams the past two years. jack may be a great player, but I just don't see the value for us at 4 when we could get a potential difference making CB, a potential franchise QB, or DE.

Exactly. They are not valued highly in a 43 scheme. So why take one at 4 overall?

I think Jack becomes the obvious choice after FA. I think we've spent too many resources on Dline; S would be an option if one of Wilcox or Church dropped. No CB warrants the 4th pick. I don't think we can get a backup QB with #4 and RB, maybe in a trade down. I always looked at Jack's tape with pessimistic eyes, what with the injury and that he's kind of a do-it-all. Looked again the other day; dude can change this D around if he's healthy.
If a first rounder cannot make Wilber sit then he is a bust.
No one drafts a 4-3 SAM with the 4th overall.
