It is routine when someone dies actually. I think just about every state does it.JerryAdvocate;2689055 said:when they draw blood from you, it's pretty obvious that you're under the influence
they don't ask everybody involved in an accident to do that
sadly he'll only see a year in prison, if that

That's what I meant by routine. I have actually had to stay with someone until the blood kit arrives at the scene of a death. You can't allow them to drink anything that could dilute the BAC.justbob;2689195 said:Like it was said earlier --not just routine --it is mandated by law..The officers do not have a choice --no breath test --only blood..Adrug screen is also ran on the victims blood ,no matter what color they are
I don't drink and never have. If I were in an accident where someone else died I would be given the same test.Big Dakota;2689198 said:I know South Dakota does it for wrecks. My ex turned her VW over on some loose gravel and she hadn't drank alcohol in years and they came to the emergency room and took blood while the doctors where putting a cast on her arm. I thought it was a little cold, but that's their job.

He's a pathetic excuse for a human, and despite what somebody might think... it's not because he's black that I feel that way.
My ex-brother-in-law was a truck driver. In Virginia a man stepped off the curb in front of his truck and committed suicide. There were witnesses. He had blood drawn.justbob;2689204 said:Sorry didn't mean it bad ---Just trying to stress that it is the law --I have taken them to the hospital -handed the tubes to the Doc and package the blood for the state lab and mailed it... Work more violent deaths them accidents ,but I do know the procedure (and the last I checked there was not different steps based on color

it protects you if you haven't been drinking

I nearly hit a pedestrian one time. Missed her by inches. I can only imagine the anguish Stallworth feels. I doubt having his blood drawn is upsetting to him.
