What if we beat the Colts next week and...gulp.....the foreskins knock us out of the playoffs the following week? I have great anxiety thinking about the tremendous amount of flak that I would personally receive living smack in the middle of Commander country. I almost dread it more for personal reasons than for the fact that we would be out of the playoffs. Please, football gods, for the love of everything that is right in this world do not put me through such a traumatizing event.

Let's just worry about beating the Colts. They're a good team and the Cowboys struggle in home games.

If we beat the Colts, I'm very comfortable finishing up with the Skins. We won't overlook them in week 17, and they're just not very good.

what if the Commanders beat the Eagles on saturday and we clinch the division on Sunday

Raises a good question - if that happens do you play Romo in DC?

You have to weigh potential seeding advantages with a win, versus keeping Tony safe and healthy. Plus he would have two weeks rest for a playoff game and maybe three weeks if they got a bye.

Giving Weeden some playing time might not be bad either in the horrible event he is needed to step in a playoff game.

Just something to bounce around...

If the 1 or 2 seed is still in play I think you definitely have to suit Romo up

The giants beat philadelphia
The Cowboys beat the Colts

That last game is all about seed.

I live in the DC area as well. My impression is that most of the serious Skins' fans are so disgusted with the state of their team that they could care less about the last game of this season. Stop worrying; we will win the game...

Yeah, I would love to see the Giants beat the Eagles. Unfortunately, that will be in week 17 at the same time we are playing Washington, so we won't know the outcome of the game until it is over.

"Couldn't" care less. If they "could" care less... then there is more they could possible care.

Oops you're right. Revise my post to Washington beats the eagles then :)

This is something I thought about as well. If we clinch the division on Sunday what do you do at Washington. I guess it depends on if we can get a bye. If Detroit and Green Bay win and Arizona also wins then we won't get a bye and will be stuck as the 3 seed. If Seattle beats Arizona and Detroit/GB also win then that sets up a scenario where the bye still comes into play because the NFC West won't be decided yet going into the last week and we play Washington in the early game and Seattle and Arizona both play in the late games.

I am not certain any amount of real game prep will be sufficient in getting Weeden ready for the playoffs.
