Dowdle is 37th in the NFL in rushing

Home of two Hall of Fame RB's, the NFL record holder for rushing yards, the NFL record holder for playoff rushing yards and playoff rushing TD's.

Home of a Super Bowl MVP RB.

This is the team that drafted Calvin Hill, Duane Thomas, Walt Garrison, Robert Newhouse, Tony Dorsett, Herschel Walker, DeMarco Murray, Ezekiel Elliot and Emmitt Smith.

The Cowboys has featured the league's leading rusher in 7 seasons, achieved by three different RB's

.....and their present RB1 is ranked 37th in rushing?

They should offer open tryouts, despite it being midseason. Somebody on this planet has to be able to do a better job.

I’m ready to see Cook as well. But remember - he’s been on the practice squad since September and any team in the league could have picked him up for their 53 man roster. In other words, 31 other teams are convinced his well is dry too.
Is he protected by the Cowboys? I believe each team can protect 4 practice squad players each week. Maybe that's why no one else has signed him.

I’ve been saying this for a couple of seasons. Anytime in our glorious but distant past when we’ve had really good football teams we had an alpha leading the charge at RB.

I’m praying somehow we get Jeanty. Run him for 5 years and say farewell.

Forgot to add: home of an NFL MVP RB

But, nicely stated plasticman.

Rico needs to be the lead back and stay that way. Not getting the carries he should.

FYI.....for what it's worth, a couple of nuggets out there suggesting Browns Nick Chubb and Saints Alvin Kamara are available for trade before the deadline.

Emmitt holds the regular season records not only for rushing yards, but carries, rushing TDs, 100 yard games, 1000 yard seasons, consecutive 1000 yard seasons.

Cook is just as done as Zeke is. Did you see him with the Jets? He looked awful while Hall was running all over the place.

It's the scheme more than anything. Half our runs are right up the middle. Add to the fact that if Dak is under center the chance of a run is about 95%.
So just because he failed with the Jets it means he can't do anything here? You might want to look at RB busts who with a change of scenery have excelled again.

We will never know if he doesn't get into the game. Many teams thought Henry was washed up and passed on signing him. Cook was once an explosive player can't believe he has digressed this much.

I think his contract has a limit on his number of touches per game——no more than the number of fingers on each hand. This keeps him in the salary range Jerry is comfortable with.

By the numbers he has 59 carries for 246 yards with a 4.2 average in Zero TD’s.

Just for reference Kareem Hunt, that was free on the street mind you, is just a notch above him but only 3 games played at 249 yards with 3 TD’s.

This week we will play the the second leading rusher behind Henry, Mason with SF at 668 yards and 3 TD’s

Derric Henry leads the league with 873 yards and 8 TD’s.

Man it’s great to be a Cowboys fan!……
We don't like the red zone, nor do we get close enough to use him to get in for an easy TD. We're doing this running back by committee stuff and it's not working

We did not draft Walker.

Dowdle isn’t the issue. Between the crappy offensive line and them limiting his snaps he’s not playing terrible. Go see what Zeke is doing.
