Yeah selling out to rush the passer 100% of the time to get 14 sacks and be a total liability vs the run is far from generational. People forget we gave up the second most point in the nfl last year letting Micah have his way. Sure we were 3rd in the nfl in sacks but all the top teams, eagles, lions, 9ers, packers etc going to run right at him. He’s not going to be a factor in playoffs.

If he offered him more money than the last guy at his position and he turned it down then his agent is in his ear to much IMO… I thought I heard JJ say his offer was more money all the way around. Guaranteed and bonus and total. Maybe it’s the years. Likely wants 5 years and he wants to cash in again. If his agent turns that away then I would pay him what ever he is supposed to get this year and try again later. If he sits out then oh well. If that’s true about the offer than Micah needs a new agent. I understand every player looking out for themselves. It’s a quick career. But when you get the highest offer and these agents telling them to hold out then I don’t agree. And our TEAM has not played well during the playoffs. Same goes with Micah. He is worn down by the playoffs. Some of thats coaching.

Obviously it makes a difference. If it really means best of his generation, that's a lot different from "current top 5."

Maybe a top 3 or top 5 player shouldn't be paid like the best in the game.
