I was skeptical of this as well. The trailer hooked me by design… My wife and I just watched the first two episodes (which may be the best) and enjoyed them more than I expected. A lot of the key people are in it - even Herschel Walker and Steve Buerline (sp?) not just Jerry. We kind of forget how compelling a story this is. The only sports story that rivals the 90’s Cowboys in terms of intrigue and drama is the 80’s Lakers. 30 years from now is anyone going to watch anything about the 2024 Eagles? No.

I wish we had more success over the past 30 years but that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy something that was unique in all of sports. This is a story worth reliving and you might enjoy it more than you think.
 
Watch Episode 6 and the story of Jerry signing Prime and the reaction of Steven Jones. This was and is pivotal now. Steven will never be about winning. He is hype focused on running a financially sound team.

DAL will never win another SB with Steven in charge. For the sake of this franchise, it needs to be sold.
 
Watching now……frustrating to see Jimmy and Jerry both be too stubborn with credit. I mean Jerry is too emotional and reactionary, but Jimmy was a little snobbish with jerry. They both could have been better, but Jerry was more to blame…..he should have stepped back realizing Jimmy was the real reason the team ON THE FIELD became what it was. Jerry did a lot in buying the team, but he needed to know Jimmy got the players and make them the machine they were. Ego clashing really screwed up something great.
 
The netflix group that made this are excellent at what they do so it’s no surprise that it’s getting a lot of high marks from critics.

I doubt I watch it but I won’t rule it out simply because i love high quality documentaries.
 
I’m no Jerry fan, but this was well done. Those who are dug in and hell bent on not watching it I get it, but it really was well done. Learned a lot about those teams.

Thats how I feel. He brought in Jimmy who built a dynasty and then he screwed it up because of his manbaby ego. I don't need to hear him act like he was the designer of the team.

That's all this franchise has...the good old days. I can't look at the gremlin anymore so I won't watch it.
