agree... Micah causes havoc. We are better with him than without. But I do not think he should be the highest paid non qb ever.
when you're generational you're the TOP of your position, I don't think so either, but we felt the same about Dak and look what happened. I feel like it's inevitable, it's more so on what the market dictates and greed I guess you can add

It is silly, petty and disrespectful if he is doing it intentionally. Wonder how Jerry would feel if players started calling him Jeb. It's how silly and petty Jerry has gotten. Everyone wants to be called by their desired name.......common courtesy.
but how many in here LOVED Parcells and how he did things. Ever hear him refer to a guy as "The player?"

But there were others that era who were generational too.
nope.... NOBODY measured up to the players I mentioned in the decade of their best years..... NOBODY. There were other all stars, other fantastic players, but not a ttheir level.

How any fan can “not care” about our best player and how the situation surrounding him absolutely impacts our season seems odd to me, but, OK…
because I am ready for the season to start, and when they kick off, I will not be thinking about Michael.

People debating a ridiculously nebulous term like “generational” as if it’s a data point that Micah has to live up to or Jerry has to compare him against to determine his contract.

Bottom line is he’s done something no pass rusher has done since Reggie White.

If that is important to you, then you should want him, if it’s not, then you should want him traded but you should lower the return in picks and talent because you, yourself, don’t value his skillset.

If it important to you and you still don’t want him then you might want to consider what “other” factors you are weighing more heavily than pass rushing.

Better question is how many of us don’t care about this franchise
I dont care about Justin Beiber, I dont care about Beyonce, I dont care about the Jets... so guess where you will never find me? IN a forum dedicated to any of them. If you are here, you are either lost.... or you care, A LOT!

I am a fan of this team since 1976. Key word is the team... not the player. Dont get me wrong, I still pop out jerseys to wear when I go to the games, I love the player on our team that helps us win. Whats that guy's name... Michael Lawrence that went to Seattle....... dont give one damn about him. Emmitt Smith in Arizona... dont care about him.

So watching this Parsons thing play out and with the season right around the corner, how many of you are reaching the point where you just dont care anymore what happens with the guy?

I am 55 years old and I absolutely love the NFL. I play in 4 fantasy leagues (one is a family league with relatives on both coasts and includes 3 of my 4 daughters, my wife, son-in-law, and 2 cousins on the east coast and a couple of friends.... including that 4th daughters ex boyfriend) I will attend the home opener, the GB game 2 eeks later, and the Broncos game a month later. Sundays come around and I am in my movie room all day watching multiple games and soaking all the NGL glory in. I love it.

That being said, I am well aware that this team is much better with Michael Parsons than without. I wish he was signed and playing... well, when his back is well enough to play :lmao:. But, I did predict this was going to happen last year during the cee dee situation. I said then, if you think this is bad with CeeDee, just wait till Parsons time comes. Well, its here. Look at him last night lying on the trainers table, no jersey, pouting like a baby that isnt currently under contract and scheduled to make a hefty salary this year. So with the season about to start, what are your feelings heading into the season.

1) You are like me. I simply dont care. If he wants to play, play. If he wants to hold in, or out, or up or down... just do it from home. Because I want Winners! The season is starting, and I will enjoy it with or without the player.

2) how many of you just will not enjoy the games due to this contract situation. I will absolutely drive you nuts as you have to hear for the 20th time during the broadcast next week, how much the Cowboys defense is missing Michael?

Please give your thoughts. :muttley:
Actually fantasy football has made me more a fan of players than teams. I don't view rivalries anymore because the players don't care. All the drama that comes with the Cowboys just makes me sick. I really hate the way Jerry does business. I think salaries have gotten out of control and the SB has become a circus. All that being said I enjoy watching the games but hate how the refs have been able to control games.

I never said I didnt want him. I siad I just dont care at this point if he stays or goes.... but I prefer he stay. If he goes, I wont lose sleep. He already said he wants to be traded, so as far as this fan of the Cowboys is concerned, hit the road.

He will be probably only until next year. Thats how Market Price in Cap era works.

The fact he’s highest paid right now doesn’t mean he’s the best. Just the last one who signed a deal.

Again, don’t have to totally measure up to them to be generational. Just off top of my head I’d put Jabbar & Dr J in that category as well. Probably a few more.

There’s generational talent in all eras. And multiple .

Not necessarily. We have all kinds here. Some haters posing as Cowboy fans probably trolling . Many disgruntled and frustrated fans.

Sometimes we have thousands of fans looking ( over 20,000 + members)in ( currently over 12,000 guest) but rarely more than a couple hundred members who actually participate. It’s actually very limited the amount of fans here who regularly offer their thoughts.

I’ve always argued this forum isn’t always a good measurement or pulse of our fans.

I missed that, what did he say?
Richard Sherman asked him about micahs "greatness". He said micah is great but he can tap into a higher level if he changes things with his diet and workout. Micah will never in his life win dpoy because he's all mouth and doesn't put in the extra discipline. He talks about Kobe but is nothing like him.

I have been saying for TEN (10) years now, that until this franchise can just get to a darn NFC Conference game, I will not buy anymore FOOLS GOLD this franchise sells. Fan is short for FANATIC and Dallas fans have been gullible for too long. How many playoffs wins have Parsons won? ---> (1) Not a single player on this team has even seen a conference game. Lamb/Prescott and now Parsons wants to be paid like they are SB champions. Owner/Players #1 concern ( with the Cowboys) is Money $$$$ and #2-- being popular/famous. Fanatics #1 concern is WINS. So we are at an impasse. I have no problem players wanting as much as they can get. We get it. But we, the fans, of the Dallas Cowboys do not continue to settle for what the franchise puts out and the players give. One conference finals would be nice for 30 years --MINUMUM. But can't even do that. So, trade Parsons for as much as they can get. Let him get his ring with a team that really wants to win and not make Netflix movies or winning the Forbes Bowl

So you’re not a fan of the negotiation process. Lol… it can get ugly.

I guess you wanted Emmitt to hit the road too when he sat out?

you are right, Jabaar was in the 70s...... not the 80s. Just to be clear, every ten years is what I am talking about. Dr J is on eof my all time favorite players.... he was not Bird or Magic.

Jabbar begun in the 70’s but was on all 5 of Magics championships in the 80’s.

You really should look this stuff up before .
