I realize that a lot of the other contracts that nobody talks about got done with no problems and also Prescott never had to go to this point He came to every practice didn't create any drama didn't skip any required functions played on the franchise tag got her and he got two of the biggest contracts in the NFL that Jerry has ever handed out He got everything put in there he took charity the cleaners and didn't do any of this why aren't we talking about why don't you just come in show Jerry some loyalty and jerry probably caves and gives you your money...

tyron smith Trayvon diggs all these other contracts have gotten done because the agent and player weren't playing this kind of game.. Seen Ferguson and OSA get paid we've seen other big contracts and big names they all got their money without bringing it to this point this is the ugliest it's ever gotten That is why we're here and it's nothing to do with these other holdouts or even close to the same...

I mean we just seen lamb take less it wasn't much less but he took less he came to the middle he was willing to negotiate and compromise this agent and Jerry hate each other and the egos are clashing and you even need to get rid of your agent and get another one or you need to come to the middle and end this hold out and then Jerry will pay you Come to practice suit up and come to the game and play and I guarantee you'll have a contract before the next game.....

Anybody who thinks this is the same it's not and anybody thinks you have to do this to get money from Jerry it's not true prescott proved that a leader with character he was really quiet had a smart agent and took Jerry to the cleaners that's the agent I want...
Jerry didn’t do those you named as dirty as he did Micah or Dez.

Did Jerry go on a media tour bashing Dak?

And Dak had the same agency as Micah

At this point, I hope he’s traded. He’s a tremendous player but the Zone will never forgive him at this point for being “greedy” and the board will be even more drama filled as he becomes the next “Dak” around here.
Meh. Who cares about the zones opinions bro? Yeah it'll be annoying but I just want to win. I agree 100% he will be scapegoat #2 behind Dak though.

Team over player always.

Dak over Dallas and Micah over Dallas fans are not needed.
I know *you* want him to stay because it will be fuel for your bizarre crusade for a few more years.

I just think it would be better for all parties if he played somewhere else.

You know I want him to stay?

You’ve not been paying attention, bro.

Dallas over Micah. Dallas over Dak.

It’s about getting guys you think can develop. If there’s no interior guy you think worth developing why waste a spot on them
I think the problem is we don't see value at the position. Theres never one we see worth it in FA either. I guess it does say something we've made a couple draft attempts early the last few years. For whatever reason we suck at finding DT1s.

Exactly it's not even close to the same that's what I keep trying to tell people this is not even as close parallel to any other holdouts that's happened in Dallas...

Agents give him really bad advice It's beyond optics I wasn't on any side and I know Jerry is a big problem here with the social media drama that's being created between him and the agent but this has gotten way beyond the normal holdout type situation..

I agree with you and I'm betting if he switched agents he would end up getting paid pretty quickly or if he caved and just came in and start practicing Friday getting ready for the Eagles and tells everybody he's ending his holdout and he's going to play against the Eagles all of a sudden Jerry is in the situation where he feels he wins and I guarantee the contract happens pretty quickly...
Same agency as Dak

And Tyler Smith, Pickens, Eze, Murray, Hooker, Fowler, Guyton, Carson and Clark.

James Houston
Childress
Flournoy
Brown
Etc

It appears that these coaches really looked at the game film of these players from the pre season and they did what they were supposed to do. In recent years it felt like they just kept guys just to keep them, even though there was a player at that position that out played a player who has made this team before.

The nepotism aspect seems to be gone, good example would be cutting Izzy! He's been on this team for several years now, but he was outshined by younger guys, it is what it is, I love it going forward. Please give your thoughts! Good job to the coaches/scouts etc!
I thought you were joking when you made this naive post. But the saddest part is you were serious. This roster and Nepo coaching staff is easily the worst Dallass has had in over 10 years.

Green Bay has had the youngest NFL roster the past 3 seasons (including 2025).

Green Bay has also won exactly 1 playoff game over the past 4 seasons (in Dallas after the 2023 season).

Never mistake youth for productivity. Philly has the 2nd youngest roster and Howie has 13 picks in the 2026 draft. I suspect that Philly will be dealing for veterans should the need arise.

Meanwhile, Green Bay will continue to hoard its draft picks, stay young, and not be a genuine threat to compete for a Super Bowl ... much like the 3rd youngest team.

The equivalent to trading for Trey Lance to get leverage on Dak. Didn´t work then and it won't work now.
I'm not sure that was it. Remember when Jerry said "only Dak can QB us".

Trey was just a simple shiny toy for Jerry...

"I do believe if we're not being looked at, then I'll do my part to get us looked at," Jones tells Yahoo.

"That controversy is good stuff in terms of keeping and having people's attention," he said.

"The Cowboys are a soap opera, 365 days a year. When it gets slow, I'll stir it up."

THAT...is why Jerry signed Trey.

We all remember Marinelli used to say play the run on the way to the QB. This defense is designed to get quick up the field pressure to cause havoc in the backfield. He wants quick twitched up defensive lineman that fire off the ball and hit the gaps as quickly as possible.

The run defense isn't going to be about winning the point of attack nor holding up blockers, but speed/quickness beating blockers to a spot. He wants his entire unit to play fast. Yes, this type of defense has vulnerabilities against the run and puts an onus on high level execution, but it can work. However, the margin of error is extremely small.

I am expecting a heavy dose of early down run blitzes to try to get offenses into long down and distances. This would force teams to play into the defense's strengths.

Most fans are prisoners of the moment.

I have no problem with what Parsons is doing. Hundreds of players have done it over the years. I pointed out yesterday the revered Emmitt Smith held out while he was under contract.

Remember when the Cowboys were the youngest team in the league and they won a super bowl?

Those were good times. I thought we would win at least 4 or 5 more after that.
Minimum. In the 80s and 90s I used to hear about the Browns and Green Bay and how dominant those teams used to be....and for me...that black/white TV ancient history.

So are the 90s Cowboys for a modern generation. If Jerry could feel shame, none of this would happen. But the man is immune to shame and guilt. His current actions betray his conciliatory and wistful words.

GB is building something. We play vets every year as if we are winning the SB...they play young guys who are now vets. Don't let the age fool you...I would love to see a chart by NFL experience + age...that would tell you something.
