He deserves a real chance, I propose we let him make a short list of teams and we work out a deal with one of them. Get like two 2nd rounders out of it. Draft like Jared goff a WR and Ezekiel Elliot and start over.

Romo is a lot more valuable to the Cowboys than a second or third round pick which is about the best they could get for him plus his contract and injury history makes for a very unlikely trade. You don't do anything with Romo until you have a sure thing at QB to replace him.

Romo is untradable. No GM in football would touch his contract with his medical history. You want Romo to groom next QB.

Nobody's a sure thing especially not a 37 year old with baby clavicles

Srs? Of all the losses to meltdown after, you pick this one? A close game with our practice squad QB starting?

Not really a meltdown if you ask me. It's an evaluation.

Can we succeed and win with Romo? Or is it smarter to move on and try to salvage the careers of the GREAT young base we have now.

Personally I don't know. I'd rather try to win with Romo because I really like the guy, but if you can move on with a Russ Wilson type, then you have a realistic shot at the super bowl before we start having to re-sign very expensive players after their rookie deal is up.

I don't see him wanting to help replace himself. He's proven how much he's carried this team

Agreed with the above, you need to have a partner to make a trade. I don't see anyone trading anything of value for a 37 year old qb whose missed games due to injury the last 4 seasons with a collarbone made of jello. Just keep Romo, and let him finish his career as a Cowboy, even if he is replaced. We owe it to him.
