I don't remember hearing about that, and my memory has served me pretty well, but I remember he brought up the NT he had in Buffalo who wasn't a 330lb hog

You got Bob SacamOWNED again..just admit it..It's starting to become an everyday occurance now.

Not getting in the middle of you guys' fight, :) but he had Pat Williams at Buffalo. Found him when he was DC and played him all three years he was HC.

He did have Greg Kragen at Denver who was very light and played like Rat, and was a really good player. And he had Ed Jasper at Atlanta, but Jasper was nothing special and they never fully committed to the 34 there anyway.

And look at the backups on our team now. Both are big, slow space eaters.

But that doesn't mean we have to draft one high. I think we will if the value is there, and if it isn't we won't worry about and will leave Rat inside.

All cuz he could'nt put the pipe down. Do we go after him if he falls? Didnt he miss his junior season for this?

Scout cookies
Five nuggets from talking to NFL scouts and personnel executives leading up to the draft: 1. That Baylor left tackle Jason Smith is in the discussion for the top pick is surprising to one scouting director, who doesn't rate him a top-10 talent; 2. Best player in the draft whom the Chiefs might be fortunate to see drop to them at No. 3: Wake Forest linebacker Aaron Curry; 3. The Lions have made calls about trading the No. 1 pick, but interest is predictably light because of the cost to sign the player; 4. Bill Belichick's presence at the University of Connecticut Pro Day last week was duly noted in one NFL office, and that club wouldn't be surprised if cornerback Darius Butler is strongly considered with New England's 23d pick; 5. Boston College defensive lineman B.J. Raji was inching toward top-five status before reports of his positive drug test at the combine. Now he might slip out of the first round.

Turns out BJ Raji DID NOT fail his test afterall. I'll start a thread.

One of Wade's best traits is that he succeeds with what he inherits. He has had successful D's with big run cloggers, fast smaller penetrators and guys who could do both (sometimes neither) well.

Unlike Parcells, Wade would have been able to keep LaRoi Glover playing at a pro bowl level as a NT in his D scheme. His flexibility and ability to see more than one solution in his scheme is what makes Wade so good as a D coach.

yeah man. Ron was taking on constant double teams letting Raji go 1 on 1.

Something I have mentioned a few times but people think I am crazy:)

Again, just to note, BC had a higher ranked rush defense in 2007 minus Raji but with Brace than they did in 2008 with both of them.

Looked in the highlights that Brace drew the doubles.

That kid will be a player, just wait and see.

Isn't that the truth. Glover is one of my very favorite players of the last 10 years and IMO maybe our best free agent pickup ever. Great guy, great professional attitude, great player. Really hated to see him go.

Yep, I put him up there with Jay Novacek. Glover was the best player on the DL when Parcells got here, by a WIDE margin. It is a shame that the Tuna couldn't or wouldn't use him.

Bill has done some good things, but he has also jettisoned some pretty good players (Hugh Douglas, LaRoi Glover, Emmitt Smith, Zach Thomas, Jason Taylor, etc.).

and we get better value at 51
