This is actually the outcome I've been thinking will possibly happen for us. I know people don't think Spence will drop, but somebody always does, and there's a lot of DL talent in this draft. If not Spence, somebody good will be there for us at #34.

Much rather Butler. At least we dont have to worry about drugs. Oh wait, who knows anymore.

He's another good one.

With Wade Wilson passing around is amphetamine stash like a pez dispenser, we're always going to have to worry about drugs.

Cant coach Qbs and a pez dispenser full of drugs. Gotta love the job security the Cowboys offer.

That was a reference to him getting popped for amphetamines he was taking for sexual enhancement for a medical condition, if it wasn't clear. But I guess it wasn't amphetamines, it was HGH, so that comment was completely pointless. I apologize.
I think I always think it was amphetamines because in my head he was using them for performance enhancement.

My ideal second round is Spence or Bullard.

We don't talk about the latter very often around here, but he is incredibly strong and explosive. Had more sacks and TFLs than Bosa last year. Could be a better pro than college player if he gets in the right defense.

Living in Oregon I've watched my share of Duck games...i like Buckner, but not crazy with him at #4. If we did take him my feeling is he has to play the 3T and that moves Crawford to LDE. Buckner is good at DE, but he is MUCH better when kicked inside. He can eat up most guards when you watch him, but at DE he is not special. How much does that improve us if he plays 3T and Crawford to LDE??? not sure. Both of them on the same side will be disruptive though.

I really think this year we will be forced to Blitz much more than in the past. We may have a very solid Dline that can stop the run and is OK at pass rushing, and the only way to get to the QB is cut Ro and Lee loose.

That's the way I see Buckner. I think him, Crawford and Irving could be a disruptive middle. If only we had someone for the edge I could see the value in the pick

I think there comes a point the risk is worth the reward.

We tried that already in the last draft and it looks like we might have a Josh Gordon on our hands. I could care less if they smoke dope, but if they screw up my team I'm not happy!!

Perhaps that is the design. Kick Crawford out and then work with Buckner's tools inside.

I will admit it. If we take him I will not be thrilled. But if that is the design, I am willing to at least listen.

The edge is very over played. They get the glory, but a strong interior rusher is almost as good at the end of the day.

I don't know that Crawford can be effective outside. And I'm not crazy about Buckner at 4 but you get him, Crawford and Irving inside and they should be able to disrupt the pocket

I agree. But the reality is lots of players have failed drug tests but there are very few as dumb as Gordon and just keep failing them. Most see the financial loss and straighten up

All these guys do. Bosa due to being a weirdo, Ramsey due to not having an actual position, Buckner because he's 6'7 but plays like he's 6'1, Elliot because he's a RB, Jack because he has one leg to run on

This is the worst top 5 I can remember. Seriously. Even the consensus #1 guy was suspended in his last year of college.

Who was that again?

I am 99% sure that I will need a new TV if I hear the name "DeForest Buckner" announced at Pick #4.

Buy a new TV for the NFL draft next week. I believe your credit card covers any "ACCIDENTAL DAMAGE" during the 1st 30 days. If draft goes well then you can return the TV. If not.....well, submit your credit card claim.....Jr "accidentally threw the remote through the TV".

Big guys like Michael Brockers and Stephon Tuitt were passed on by Dallas but highly regarded by some at the zone, who went on to become game changers for the Rams and Steelers.

Last years Big Man Leonard Williams for the Jets, albeit earlier in the Draft like 2016 Big Boy Buckner who has the same potential or better. Standing out head and shoulders as the best big man among an unbelievable DT group, his inside moves are simply football driven excellence.

Refusing to get my hopes up, Dallas will pass on a DT @ #4, the signing of Thornton cemented the signing of DT Crawford a year ago.

Draft Ramsey; cut Carr.
