Thanks for the report. I'm hoping for Ramsey I do think he will be special and give our defensive secondary a little attitude to boost. Spence in the second would be great value and as LM stated he's been taking regular drug tests for a while now, so I'm not to concerned there. I wouldn't be upset with Buckner, but i'd prefer Ramsey, unless they targeted Buckner after a small move down.

So many conflicting reports. One says called around bout Ramsey wasn't good. One said were taking ee. One said we liked bosa now we don't and we like Buckner. It's that time of year and I will say it's exciting

If not Ramsey-I prefer Sheldon Ramsey on the DL. We need two stud DT's and can always kick King Crawford to LDE.

I don't like Crawford at de. They tried that once and he had no pursuit on the qb. His position should be where he is now. He just doesn't have the speed to get around the edge.

Buckner's been a dark horse with me in a trade back. He uses his arms like a t-rex. Fix that one thing and he's a different player.

As far as Ramsey, the only thing I see him do extremely well is rush the passer...which is a problem when we're talking about a DB.

Ramsey has all the makings of a great SS. He can blitz, cover the TE, and cover the slot. Put him out at corner and he is good; probably not great.

Are strong safeties worth the #4 pick?

Rankins and Joseph

Now we're talking

That is what I'm saying take the two best at their positions, don't try and get cute. I start my Fanspeak mock with those two every time. Those two would infuse talent and attitude to our defense.

So if the Cowboys took Ramsey at #4 and Noah Spence at #34 what is your feeling on the Defense is it much better or still needs tons of work ?

starting to see some mocks with Joseph in the 1st. Seems he is climbing the ladder.

If Ramsey becomes a Pro Bowler and 8-10 year starter @ SS(for Dallas), does it really matter where he was drafted?

Since you answered my question with a question, :) I shall answer: The strong safety position itself does not, but this kid may be special (difference maker) and may merit the #4 spot.

As Parcells used to say, the draft is a talent acquisition process. It makes no difference if you are a UDFA or a 1st round pick. If you make the team and contribute, who cares how you got there.

The #4 pick in the draft has to do more than contribute, he has to be a play-making fool. I think Ramsey can be that as a safety. Goff and Wentz are out of the picture so it looks like it may come down to Elliott, Bosa and Ramsey if the Cowboys do not trade down.

You are taking the word contribute way too literally. Romo as a UDFA, is a baller. Dez as a 1st round pick is a baller. Lee, when healthy is a baller as a 2nd round pick. Witten is a HOF TE as a 3rd round pick. And so on...I agree if we stay at four its one of the 3 you mentioned. I'd be happy with any one of them. Ramsey in the 1st and maybe get lucky and have Spence fall to us in round 2.

I'm not sold on Spence as a difference-maker -- he looks like a liability versus the run -- but I'm good with Ramsey.
